Is smoking a sin?

Hello all. Yup that's right. To me smoking is a sin like masturbation or pornography. But it might not be to those smokers or holy smokers(Christian smokers). I know i will get whacked for this but i still post. Smoking is a form of social drug use (nicotine etc) & it's an addiction that nonetheless wont kill until one gets cancer of the lungs.
Since many on this forum believes in OSAS, holy smokers can still go to heaven albeit earlier sometimes.

Drinking wine is ok, so long as you don't get drunk. The basic "rule" is that the body is the temple of God and you have responsibility to protect it. Wine is actually good for the body in moderate amounts (scientifically proven).
Smoking though...I will say its a sin. It wreaks havoc on your body. Biblically, it is wrong. Rationally, I find no good reason to smoke

depend on how you look at the situation
My view:
smoking is not a sin , it juz an addictive substance that make you want more
it isnt any illigle stuff like drug
smoking is a sin , you make ppl around you a passive smoker

when you are sick , they buy you medicine or tonic now
you are destroyin your health your parent once protect -

The way I see it, however... *perks up with a chance to create an excuse* we have been informed over and over again through countless ways and mediums, that the effects of smoking are ALL negative - for health, for the environment, and for the people around us. I think that there's no telling when exactly is the time for us to go. We can die at any time, any place, and for whatever reason. We can exercise 24/7, watch what we eat, be a teetotaller and not smoke... yet whilst on our daily jog to keep fit, we get knocked down in a freak accident and d..i..e...
So we may have blemish-free lungs and a super-duper Energizer liver - and then the doctor diagnoses the frequent headaches to be a malignant tumour...
I've known so many people who lead examplary lifestyles and yet succumb to other things beyond their control.
So... I continue the vice. Silly, perhaps, to some - but it IS my life, and since I don't smoke around my family (my friends are smokers, too, so there.) I figured I will only immediately endanger my life.
As for how I started - 'twas (not so long ago) when youth was all about being rebellious, experiments, and being carefree with nary a care in the world.
If smoking is a sin, that makes me a unrepentant sinner.

These things are not unknown as you claimed. They are prevalent & fashionable now even famous. That's why Paul blasted the homos, Peter advised not to be drunk with wine but be drunk with the Spirit. Jesus condemned idolaters & homosexuals etc in Revelations & He is coming back to burn them all up! Gambling is a form of coveting & Paul struggled with this sin of coveting himelf in Romans 7. Thank God He forgives!

The way I see it (and this is the on the basis of my own personal belief) - is that if there is Heaven / Hell - then it would be in an intangible realm and space. In H/H, time would ceast to exist - where there is just a perpetual state of being and nothingness... and perhaps a truly 'final' salvation and / or damnation. Perhaps this space that it occupies is very much like a 'void' - where everything and everyone is 'just as is'.
There's always room for one more in the Inn of Heaven or Hell.
