  Maudy Thursday or Holy Thursday, commemorates the Institution of the Eucharist during the Last Supper. After the evening Mass, there will be a Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will continue until midnight in all churches.
  
  Of particular notice is that in the morning a Chrism Mass will be celebrated. All the priests will assemble and celebrate Mass together with the archbishop. There will be the blessing of Holy Oils, or Chrism. The Holy Oils are used for Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Orders.

  the altar of the church is 'stripped' during Maundy Thursday and the Senior clergy/Bishop will wash the feet of 12 selected members

  Out of curiosity, cause just went wz my bf for the mass.
  
  Wats the significance for the procession mass where the priest carries the eucharist to another hall & how come the 1st altar boy that "leads" the procession must walk opposite direction as in "Gos Stan"?
  
  Oh & yeah, wats the significance for covering the crosses or stripping them down???

  the altar boy tt 'leads' walk backwards most likely because he holding the incenser.....to incense the blessed sacrament on its way to the altar of repose...
  
  a RC way of showing worship and honour to the eucharistic presence.
  
  covering of crosses with a purple linen and stripping the altar is to show the tremendous sorrow and humiliation Christ experienced for us. A way of showing the sorrowful and lifelessness the death of Christ

  haha, nt2 explains it better than I can..
  
  I went for the Chrism Mass yesterday. The bishop and and a hundred priests were there. It was so crowded that I had no place to sit.
