  Hmm, there is one sensible argument. It goes along the lines of Judas hanging himself, the branch/rope breaking and then his body going crashing down to a most ignoble end. The differing records of his demise simply recorded different parts of the affair. It seems completely possible to me.
  
  If a guy is shot and he falls out of a window... two seperate people may say of his demise as a shooting, or as a fall. Both are correct.
