If it's congregation level, they will do it at the pews only (space constraint).Originally posted by NT2:no leh...ppl kneel at their pews not before the station.
Vince raised hand to ask question.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:The Stations of the Cross or The Way of the Cross (Via Crucis), is a devotion that is practised especially during Lent. It allows us to retrace the Passion of Our Saviour, those painful steps towards the cross.
The 14 Stations are:
1. Christ condemned to death;
2. the cross is laid upon him;
3. His first fall;
4. He meets His Blessed Mother;
5. Simon of Cyrene is made to bear the cross;
6. Christ's face is wiped by Veronica;
7. His second fall;
8. He meets the women of Jerusalem;
9. His third fall;
10. He is stripped of His garments;
11. His crucifixion;
12. His death on the cross;
13. His body is taken down from the cross; and
14. laid in the tomb.

yup watched this show, The Passion, think one of his adviser on this show is a catholic sister.Originally posted by Honeybunz:If it's congregation level, they will do it at the pews only (space constraint).
But if it is held at a smaller scale by the individual prayer group / church group, participants will have to walk to every station, stand and kneel.
It's a very good opportunity to reflect on Jesus' sacrifice for our sins.
You may be interested to know that movie The Passion Of Christ by Mel Gibson is very much based on the Station of the Cross.
St Veronica cleaning the face of Jesus and Jesus meeting his Mother is not found in the bible. It is part of oral tradition.Originally posted by vince69:Vince raised hand to ask question.
How come in the Bible (at least in the version I am using, there is no mention of Jesus meeting Mary while on the way to be cruxified? also I don't seems to find any mention of the person Veronica anywhere in the Bible?
