just a thoughts hereOriginally posted by Icemoon:So "idealistic".
All the talk about "obligation to God" when God doesnt' need the money. So paradoxical.
Jesus Christ becomes the universal excuse for any action. Jesus can be the Church, the High Priest, God, Kingdom, Shepherd, Judge and what's not?
Salvation .. from Jesus Christ.
Tithing .. for Jesus Christ
Crusades .. for Jesus Christ
Worship .. because of Jesus Christ
Preaching .. for Jesus Christ
Prayer .. in Jesus Christ
Judgement .. by Jesus Christ
JESUS CHRIST! (this is the exclamation)
God is God, so is Jesus, you wanna dispute that? Take it up with God.Originally posted by Icemoon:So "idealistic".

No wonder it is "One way .. Jesus .. you're the only one that I could live for .. "Originally posted by vince69:Yes, you got it right, Its all about Jesus, Christians are one that belong to Christ Jesus.
So ironical.Originally posted by breytonhartge:Obligation of tithing to God is not about whether God needs our money or not, it is about faith and obedience and returning to God what is already His. The commandment is to tithe for if you do not you are robbing God.
Hey...Originally posted by Icemoon:No wonder it is "One way .. Jesus .. you're the only one that I could live for .. "
if you do not have the revelation of tithing, you don't. Cannot help you there. You try keeping the 613 commandments. Not easy.Originally posted by Icemoon:So ironical.
I think Jews live happier under the 613 commandments than some Christians who live under "grace" (on paper it is grace lah)
Easier than not commiting adultery by not looking lustfully at girls.Originally posted by breytonhartge:if you do not have the revelation of tithing, you don't. Cannot help you there. You try keeping the 613 commandments. Not easy.

It is with impossible commandments like this that's why pastors have to remind their congregation they are living under "grace".Originally posted by Icemoon:Easier than not commiting adultery by not looking lustfully at girls.
You mean which one?Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:is it really impossible to follow the ten commandments?
they are the same... if you think about it.Originally posted by Icemoon:You mean which one?
The one according to Jewish understanding or the one espoused by Jesus?
To really follow the ten commandments, means to be able to do all the commandments (not one less nor one more) and also to do all of them perfectly (not even the most tiny of flaws allowed).Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:is it really impossible to follow the ten commandments?
The commandments were given when Man was already flawed. God said try your best and provided remedies when they fell short.Originally posted by vince69:To really follow the ten commandments, means to be able to do all the commandments (not one less nor one more) and also to do all of them perfectly (not even the most tiny of flaws allowed).
Not when one is living under the law. for under the law of the ten commandments, its fully obey all and get blessed, else ... cursed.Originally posted by Icemoon:The commandments were given when Man was already flawed. God said try your best and provided remedies when they fell short.
Not sure about the cursed part.Originally posted by vince69:Not when one is living under the law. for under the law of the ten commandments, its fully obey all and get blessed, else ... cursed.
Tithing was done long before there was the temple. Abraham tithed to Melchizedek which in Hebrew means my king of righteousness. So it is not unbiblical to tithe.Originally posted by Icemoon:Sorry bro .. you'll be disappointed with my answer.
Jews today do not tithe in the Christian sense. As they explain, in the bible the tithing is to the Levites during the Temple period. Since the Temple is nonexistent today, it is unbiblical to tithe.
Compared with the Jews, the Christian's idea of tithing seems a bit warped.
Here you go, this is the list of curses for disobedienceOriginally posted by Icemoon:Not sure about the cursed part.
But they never got cursed, did they?
Errr...prob the one who got closest to fulfilling the commandments were hmmm....Mother Theresa???Originally posted by vince69:To really follow the ten commandments, means to be able to do all the commandments (not one less nor one more) and also to do all of them perfectly (not even the most tiny of flaws allowed).
Now, do you think there is any man/woman that can ever achieve this (of course except Jesus who had fulfilled all the requirements perfectly)
Hmm???Originally posted by SajNT:In Adam all have died. Sin was introduced. Because of that man became sin concious through the knowledge of good and evil. And since then all have fall short the glory of God. A hugh chasm therefore stood between man and God from that time on.
Now everyone knew a huge battle broke out in heaven between Michael and Lucifer right? Letz see, angels, being celestial beings, without a body that bleeds or die, what and how do they fight with? Puzzling? Well, that battle that occured then, has happened all the way till the present day. That battle, was for the very soul of man.
Now everyone knows satan is the accuser. He is the prosecutor. But who does he prosecute? Who does he accuse in front of God day and night? Us. The souls of man. What is the role of a prosecutor in court? It is to bring out your darkest secret, dirty laundries to get you into eternal damnation. That is the job of satan. And the dirty laundries he lashes out will be our darkest secret. Those we'd never want any other people to know. He'll bring out every reason why we have sinned and deserves to be thrown into the fire.
So someone claims he is sinless? Guess what satan has to say. "In Adam you have sinned! and because you have sinned, you deserve to die again for your sins!" Absurb? well one can be blameless, not sinless. Nobody can be sinless, without blemish, except for one. Who is the ultimate sacrifice for us. Who is the bridge between man back to God.
In the Law, everyone of us falls away. But through Jesus, the work is done. Jesus is our defendant. Because He who is perfect, is the ultimate sacrifice for us, who is imperfect. satan no longer have a foothold over us. His accusations will fall away like jelly on a plate.. too much? Still blur? haha
hmm what is SOP? Standard Operating Procedure?Originally posted by M©+square:Hmm???
