Should i also start a new thread addressing: I think most will agree that Christians cannot have gamble. I think it's a good issue to discuss on youths getting into gambling(TOTO) because these days youths are poor. It's sort of like a confession thread for me. Many people are not rich. BUt i buy toto not bcos i want to be rich but bcos i need the money. I can always observe those poor uncles from the heartlands buying totos. & i guess they are retirees or what. Who would want to buy toto if they are millionaires? Unless of course they gamble lah out of greed. The asia pacific brewery man was well to do but look what he did. He gambled until go to jail. I think should start a gambling discussion bcos IRs & casinos coming soon & i think most churches disagree with the govt regarding the opening of the casinos. -

Older boy in Sec 1. In 2 school teams already. Aspiring prefect (meaning: hope to be picked - quite high chance). Organising committee for a teacher's event.... all for CCA points. Enjoys a rather high visibility among his peers
Young boy in P4. Still trying to calibrate his focus. Also enjoy a high visibility among his peers.
By and large, quite problem free. No need to chase them for homework, perform reasonable ok. We get along real fine.... do lots of stuff together, latest craze is family scrabble time, at least twice a week. -

I confess that i am not reading the bible as much. I confess i have become lax. Pls pray for me to ask God to forgive me. I will try to stop surfing & read more bible. But as i am unemployed, i cant forever read the bible. I tried & i couldnt take it. Very pressurised. erm... my bible study group is nice actually, we focus a lot on Jesus, faith , obedience , fighting temptations and basically its topical... probably is me who lacks the wisdom forgive me , im still young compared to all of u.
But i still stick to no buying toto.. -

if i were given a sum of money, i rather invest or bet on soccer, than putting it on toto or 4d or casino
toto and 4d is heng suay one, but there are more certainty in trading in securities or betting on football teams which are more likely to win -

Who doesnt want but like what you said it all chance lah. Anyway, i know something abt stocks but all my investment tied up currently & they dont even add up to $10K. Soccer i dont know anything. It's how much you can live as a Christian, claiming to be on fire for God and bet/gamble as the same time.
If you can life with it. Let it be....
If you can't reconcile the lifestyle between gambling and Godly Christian living, then ask God to deal with you.
