Actually I never hear the Ah Lian in action before. I only hear before Prince, Joshua and some foreign visitors preach on the pulpit.

You attend Church Service to serve God and obey the Commandment of keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. Yet people wants to compare those Megachurches. What's the point behind those critics ? Remember, judged and you'll be judged.

As for financial issues, imagine this scenario, which i must state is not a generalisation of megachurches yet, where your kids attend a church for dubious purposes, and where he spent awful lot of time and donatin large sums of monies. Its not even a judgement yet, but certainly, a cause for concern.

For starters, I do wish for Christians to stop using the phrase: "judge and you'll be judge" Most of those who use this phrase don't even understand the context of the usage.
If my sons start to get involve in a church so much that they neglect their family and their school work, I will have an issue with it. As a matter of fact, I encourage my Sunday School teachers to place their own families as a priority over their service in the ministry. If one cannot take care of his own house, he cannot take care of God's house. -
I agree with your statements, I was in that megachurch for few years. When i was in there, everyday i'm busy with church stuff e.g bible study, prayer meeting (not inclusive of my quiet time at night), give 10%of my money (weather i earn it or my parents give, 10% will definately goes to church), offering (in cg and svc) and plus activities (e.g bbq, games day etc). At the later part, then i know that church staff are paid quite high monthly though no claims etc. This explains why they always urge the members to give generously. Imagine the highest pay was $8000.
I have no time for my family/friends or for anyone else. Until i get into depression and think of all that i done. The church dont worth so much of my time and money. Ultimately, i'm not getting paid to do all these (my phone bills always shoot up high) and my relationship with family/friends were drift apart. My parents say the house is like a hotel to me, came back eat and sleep only. Whenever we have outings (with pri sch friends) i can't attend b'cos of church.
I'm glad that i've left the church and visit another church which is smaller (in membership and building) but its much more relax and dont require so much of me. -

Any church that makes excessive demands on one's time and money is not worth going to. -
