also .. how you define someone who is full of spirit? As in full of spirit is good? I hope you don't use CHC as a benchmark, 'cos it is akin to labelling the mainstream churches as lacking in spirit.
erm .. i dunno what you are talking about.Originally posted by mr_cool:who don't know got hokkien horse(in hokkien) and demon chin...rite... famous

Judge? For one, i am not a christian, so you got to look where i am coming from, for example, when i talk about methods of evangelismOriginally posted by photo_seeker:You attend Church Service to serve God and obey the Commandment of keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. Yet people wants to compare those Megachurches. What's the point behind those critics ? Remember, judged and you'll be judged.
you refering to that hot topic with many threads ?Originally posted by laurence82:Hmm, no idea really, coz i didnt ask
But you will see that charismatic churches is a touchy topic over at Chit Chat forum, mainly anger over the methods of evangelising and issue of large tithe which goes into a lot of extravagances, like church buildings
yesh, but have to ignore most of the posts, which are merely the works of trollsOriginally posted by vince69:you refering to that hot topic with many threads ?

I agree with lau.Originally posted by laurence82:Judge? For one, i am not a christian, so you got to look where i am coming from, for example, when i talk about methods of evangelism
As for financial issues, imagine this scenario, which i must state is not a generalisation of megachurches yet, where your kids attend a church for dubious purposes, and where he spent awful lot of time and donatin large sums of monies. Its not even a judgement yet, but certainly, a cause for concern.
See my point?
I agree with your statements, I was in that megachurch for few years. When i was in there, everyday i'm busy with church stuff e.g bible study, prayer meeting (not inclusive of my quiet time at night), give 10%of my money (weather i earn it or my parents give, 10% will definately goes to church), offering (in cg and svc) and plus activities (e.g bbq, games day etc). I'm always poor even though i was holding a job.Originally posted by Chin Eng:I agree with lau.
For starters, I do wish for Christians to stop using the phrase: "judge and you'll be judge" Most of those who use this phrase don't even understand the context of the usage.
If my sons start to get involve in a church so much that they neglect their family and their school work, I will have an issue with it. As a matter of fact, I encourage my Sunday School teachers to place their own families as a priority over their service in the ministry. If one cannot take care of his own house, he cannot take care of God's house.
I am glad for you too.Originally posted by klishcia:I'm glad that i've left the church and visit another church which is smaller (in membership and building) but its much more relax and dont require so much of me.
That's right. I've actually encouraged one of my SS teachers to quit SS and the Children's ministry because her home life and relationship with her husband and kids are suffering because of the amount of time she's spending in church.
