I don't think it is rumour mongering, more like a very polarised discussion, but i did think that the writer of the article that was posted by raptured did make some points worth considering. The article was posted for discussion, does not mean we have to prove issues all the time. I stated an opinion so is that wrong then from what you have been posting? all of us are allowed our opinions. so if I am in an ACTUAL Bible Study group with you, I cannot provide an alternative view, let alone a strong alternative view? Yes you can. exactly, which is why I am entitled to mine: which is: there are too many articles and hypothesis on who the anti-Christ is. Chasing it down is like chasing down the day of rapture. The AntiChrist has done it again!! just the argument on the issue of AntiChrist has already turned Christians into discord. the argument turned red, green and soon it will be blue...
Just who is or are the AntiChrist? is it a group of people or one powerful people? an image of worship or an icon for those who are against Christianity? What does the Bible say about it??
1 John 2:18 : "Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour."
Are muslim antichrist? they know the father but deny the son; so do the Jews, they deny jesus as well, are they antichrist?
We discuss and share so that we become more aware of the different disguises that antichrist put on, anybody can be right and wrong.
BUT, take note that besides those who are for Christ, and those who are against Christ, there are also those who do not know Christ, they can't be the antichrist; and among Christians, there are many who live FOR Christ in many different ways, and they cannot be antichrist.

Boy, it is difficult to juggle my responsibility here and the real world I live in. I apologise for not being here the whole of yesterday.
As most of you should know, EH is a Christian forum. Most of the opinions we state here are from the Christian context. There will be things that we say here that may offend some people. But I appeal to all fellow believers to exercise discernment to the things you post here. I ask that seek wisdom before you speak out all your thoughts.
EH will continue to be a place for discussing the Christian faith. It will still be a place where we will make know our identity in Christ. We will strive to be a place where we confess our faith bravely. But we will and have to exercise the need to be sensitive to other religions/race.
Brey and Laurence, there will be no end to this if we do not take a step back.
Laurence, you have knack in taking one issue, blow it up, turn it personal and continue poking it. And sometimes, it is brought to other forums, in particular your forum. You are always on the prowl to spot mistakes and find fault in it. You know it is a public forum, there will be things you disagree. If you disagree, you disagree. Full stop. And yes, if you disagree with my points, I will not defend further.
Brey, as a moderator, we need to wear two hats. One as a member of the forum, another a moderator of the forum. It has to be distinct. I agree that our faith must be defended unabashedly. But sometimes we need learn to hold our tongue.
