I think you just want to rant right?
Since YCF is a new forum, it will take time for the mod to learn certain things about being a mod. I have been through the process and have been guilty similiar actions before.
Being youths, it's easy to get nervy especially on the things we strongly believe in. Give him and the forum some time. I belief he will slowly know that opposing views will always exist and that a strong hand approach to these views doesn't solve the problem.
Let's not start, if it has not already been done, throwing insults. Let us contribute to his forum in a positive way. So shall we move on?

But let's look at it in another light. Unless we look into the profile of any given forumites, we will not know the background. It is fortunate (dumb?) that this mod had given some info in his profile.
Say, in another similar situation, but no info, an outside reading into this thread will have the distinct impression of an egocentric bigot using the name of Christianity to serve his goals. What kind of impression will it display?
To add to this: will "turning the other cheek" work? or ignoring him? I like to look at it from the angle that I (some of us) are giving him the "baptism of fire". I like to gauge him by the response he will take. Apparently some forumites already had communicated with this individual through PMs, the response from this individual is not very encouraging from the standpoint of Christian maturity.
Have I been harsher on Christians than non-Christians? The obvious answer is YES.
I do not want to give the impression that Christians protect Christians (especially when the latter is wrong). This is the same principle I have in everything I do. I am also teaching my son in my SS class - the expectation I have for him is much, much higher than I have on the other children. When they play with my friends' kids my expectation for my boys are higher than I have the other kids. In my world, I have no room for rude children. A girl in my class decided to be rude to me one day - I gave her a dressing down in front of the other kids, chased her out of the class, wrote a note to her parents.
She eventually apologised and we got on fine after that.

Yes YCF is a new forum - I left it alone when it came up. I do not want it to go the way of Apocalyptic Prophecies. I cannot leave it alone when the mod decides to go the ego trip and make declarations amounting to - I have power, I am the moderator.

May God's grace & Mercy be upon this Huaqing guy. Let God deal with him. Somtimes it has to take 2 tight slaps from our Almighty to humble a person cause personally i have been thru it.
Again i make my stand, Altho i am protestant by birth, However i have my full respect for the catholics or even irregardless any denomination. Dats why it really saddens me to c backlashing of 1 denomination against the other.
To Huaqing or whoever u are for that matter (if u happen to chance upon this place), u need to really go search & dig deep into your concience. Your statements would have offended a lot of people. Even me as a protestant read already also feel absolutely uncomfortable & ashamed.
1)Tell me, since when are catholics not christians??? Who is the ultimate focus??? The Holy Trinity right??? Then???
2) Since when do they pray to Mary??? Note there is a big difference between "Pray for us" and "Pray to u".
3) if Mary is not the earthly mother of Christ then who is, U? i tink u may have read 2 much of Da Vinci Code!
4) Wats wrong with giving reverance to the Holy Mother??? at least she walked the talk. Can u likewise be like her??? Wats written in the 10 Commandments? "Honour your MOTHER & your father" not the other way around
Let's not put blame on any church for that matter. It could be the enthusiasm of the individual that cause him/her to be arrogant for that matter that the message get's across all wrong.

Babyys, sorry to hear that, hope that you future experience with Catholics will be more pleasant.
I'm a Catholic, have been for many years and have experience many negative response from non catholic. The worst of it comes from ignorant christians of course. They tend to get overzealous and start their whole "worshippers of Mary" thing with me.
Glad to hear that many christian denominations have greater understanding of Catholism now (or maybe my friends became more matured).
Anyway, just in case elements like huaqing still haven't gotten the message, Catholics ARE really christians... -
