One of the highlights of the Youth Walk – the Mass at the Kranji Commonwealth War Cemetery. Seeing the graves of so many soldiers who were not much older than themselves, the youths were reminded of the gift of life and the call to love.
The week of 12-18 June was a time of celebration for the youth in our Achdiocese.
The week started off with a 3-day 2-night Youth Walk. Sliding down a snow slope, walking together for long distances, sleeping in tents at night and a Eucharistic celebration outdoors were some of the unforgettable moments for the 100 youths from 20 parishes that took part.
The highlight of the Youth Week was the Youth Fest. The festival providied a platform to affirm youth and their talents. The festival kicked off at noon with a carnival bustling with games and food, live performances by bands at the talent corner and an on-site music station controlled by DJs. There was also an hour-long live chat discussing youth issues. The grand finale of the day was the evening rally cum Eucharistic celebration under the stars.
The Youth Week affirmed our youth that they matter to Jesus and our Church.

About 100 youths from various parishes assembled outside the Orchard MRT Station. They are waiting for their excitement to begin after their efforts of packing up their belongings for the unforgettable events.
The 1st Youth Walk started in 1983, but not so adventurous at that time until 1990. -

In the evenings, the participiants at Church of St Mary of the Angels, which is located at Bukit Batok. They came here to have Praise & Worship there, and after, they stayed one night there, before proceeding to Snow City. -

On the 14 Jun, the organisers briefed for the next activity which will be held at Snow City. On which, they were feeling very excited on sliding down on snowy slopes while they were there. This picture was taken at Church of St Mary of the Angels. -

Youth Walk Participants were seen leaving the church premises. Most of them were talking to their friends about the next event. The first person to walk out was JARED LO, a 2004 member of Apex-LW'21 (AKA Living Waters). -

They walked until they reached Snow City. This picture was taken at Snow City, most of them were talking to their friends and some listening to their MP3 players. -

Another view of Snow City. Some people were buying souvenirs and other collectables, while some of them were reading the Map of Singapore. While collecting their jackets provided by Snow City, they were allocated to the main entrance of the Snow Chamber. -

When they want to slide down on snowy slopes, they used a black inflated floats, without that, they may suffer injuries. So precautions must be taken. As you can see in the photo, the youths were in excitement, it can reached up to 60-70 km/h while sliding down! In actual fact, they have to use the staircase to the top first. -

Some of them were standing around the Snow Chamber after almost 1 hr fun in snow. In front, a girl hold up her hands with snow on it. She waved on the cameras instead. -

Bt Batok Rd Choa Chu Kang Rd Woodlands Rd). Most of them have water bottles in possession, when they are thirsty, the water bottles are useful to refresh themselves. -

The participants were sitting on grass patch to have Praise & Worship session. Most of them are now at EDM @ CAYC. Some of them had already taken a rest after long journey walks. -
