Meaning of martyrdom is when you put your own life at risk and willing to be killed, not because you strap bombs around your body & end up killing other people as well... but because even at gunpoint, you refuse to deny that you believe in Jesus Christ and that you are His follower. You simply refuse to deny your faith even under great threat of losing your own life. That's a martyr. And that is not wrong.Originally posted by laurence82:How abt matyrdom and crusades?

Crusades or holy war are equivalent to jihads. You not only kill yourself but others as well. That's homicide and that's the stupidest way to convert people to your religion.
