Let's have some fun discussing about the eucharist!!
No theology pls. I just want everyone to share the [type of] bread and wine used in your church.
For example, are the wine and bread in Catholic churches standardized? Or each parish purchase their own?

My church uses wafer and diluted wine. We dip the wafer into the wine.

anglican churches generally uses communion wafer and wine (3 part alcohol and 1 part water)
perhaps an added discussion may include...does ur church serves the Communion using individual plastic cups or uses Chalice?
my church uses chalice and we dun use individual cups. -

I attended New Creation before.
I remember they circulated trays of little plastic cups with Ribena inside and also pieces of bread. -

i just present a plausible scenario. I know how it is done in the RC .. but not too sure (obvious right .. pple line up to eat bread but I remain in audience seat) -

anglican however administer both.
depending on church, usually the priest will distribute the wafer from the ciborium and someone else ( a lay leader who is trained to administer Holy Communion) will pass the chalice for the people to either drink from it or dip.
we dun have altar boys -
for RC,
if big congregation, there will be a few queues and everybody will eat from the .. opps .. who? Enuff priests to distribute the bread??
for small congregation, eg. evening mass, everyone queues up, forms one line in front, kneels down, priest distributes bread .. I think the priest takes the bread from somewhere .. acolyete?? .. dips in the Chalice .. then puts in your mouth .. then goes to the next person. Then next group's turn to kneel in front .. He mutters something during the ritual for each person .. dunno what. -

Not jus priest will distribute..u will see some lay people wearing a band over their shirt...these r people who r allowed to administer Eucharist.
the words usually said when the bread alone is give are :' The Body of Christ' -
