actually there is a big christian population amongst Indonesians , which are more or less malaysOriginally posted by Dr Who:I noticed that Christians in Singapore are mainly Chinese, with some Indians and Ang-Mohs.
How come got no Malays?
Is it because no evangelism? Because against the law? Because Malay culture incompatible with Christianity? Because Islam is more attractive to Malays?
Or is it Christians don't care? I have never heard any christian pray for the souls of the Malays........yah, they pray for All the lost souls.......but I doubt if they consciously include this particular people in their minds.................

Most Muslims, not just Malays, if they have some knowledge of Islam, knows that they already have direct access to the God of Abraham and since God is merciful, we just need to pray to Him to ask for forgiveness. We do not believe that we need salvation through Jesus, who by the way is a revered prophet.
There are I'm sure a few Singaporean Malay Christians but I personally believe they have had little religious schooling. But if you look further, the majority of Fililpinos who are of the Malay stock are Christians. They are however not Muslim converts. A minority who are muslims, like most Muslims, have remained happily Muslims.
Hope this helps.
