Is it because no evangelism? Because against the law? Because Malay culture incompatible with Christianity? Because Islam is more attractive to Malays?

from my pastor, he went to share the gospel with the M's before, and they are often quite open to listen about our faith (except conversion). i've yet to come across any M's turned Christians.

In simply term, say a pray to God to repent your sin and accept Jesus as your personal savior, in the name of Jesus Christ. Then live a life that will glorify your God as a christian.
The relationship between Christians and God is a direct one and is not conditional on any ceremony such as Baptism. Baptism is just a public proclaimation of your faith. It is certainly a denouncement of your existing religion. BUT your salvation does not depend on it.
