  It is ironic that a belief system that declares itself to be the "true" religion would borrow so heavily from "pagan" traditions.

  Not forgetting that the eating of log cakes at Christmas is supposedly "un-Christian", since Christmas Day superceded the Winter Solstice. The Yule Log is even older than Christ himself.
