Personally, i disagree with female pastors.Originally posted by dumbdumb!:pastors are leaders in the church, leading the church in God's direction for them, and preaching and ministering
priest are catholics ba, right bear?
reverands are pastors, who are recognised by the world, like city harvest's reverand kong? all the world's pastors recognise and acknowledge him.
my church's pastor is just a pastor.

Depends depends...Originally posted by dumbdumb!:haha i asked my church this. but i think having women pastors to lead the women is a good idea.
i mean, last time the custom was that way.. but now times abit diff.
now women have alot of problems.. and a male minister may not be able to properly understand or minister. so having female ministers are good here.
In a way, "pastor" is a professional title. Each holder need to go through a recognised seminary or theological school. In most churches, only upon attain a certain level of seniority (and probably some more studies) will the title of Reverend be confered on this individual. In other words, cannot any old call yourself pastor.Originally posted by chronicles:I have noticed in protestant churches(No offence), there are over-zealous people claiming to be pastors. How to identify the real and the false.
Not all churches allow woman pastors. As fandango had stated, there are some who will adhere to the biblical teachings. Others will interpret it as a shift in cultural traditions whereby women are more and more given positions of authority. It is also right that women pastors can cater to certain aspects of church life where it might be inconvenient for a male to do. All said and done, I don't think we'd see a woman achieving the rank of bishop anywhere in the near future.
What is the difference between a pastor and a priest and how come protestant denominations allow female servers
Lead as in what way? A leader is a fuzzy term.Originally posted by dumbdumb!:haha i asked my church this. but i think having women pastors to lead the women is a good idea.
