yup.Originally posted by Ito_^:i google abit, alot of christian sites says there r 3 for heaven.
heard from a xtian friend that after we die, out souls will sort of be in a suspended animation state, like in hibernation, until the end of the world, then all the souls will be bought to judgement. so christians dun actually go to heaven right away, but will wait for the end of time like every other soul.Originally posted by Icemoon:I also confused.
If they go heaven straight (we ignore the Catholic purgatory for the time being), then Judgement Day is for what?
No need to judge them liao mah.

his view dun reflect my view tho. just offerin what some xtians believe. i think to u this actually makes sense right?
his actual words were "suspended animation, where the soul is lying without consciousness with the body in the grave. Like a switch switched off."Originally posted by M©+square:Your friend might mean hades

So maybe thats why u CAN disturb the dead. wake their souls up by accident.
I guess the word is soul sleeping and it is not biblical.Originally posted by HENG@:his actual words were "suspended animation, where the soul is lying without consciousness with the body in the grave. Like a switch switched off."

Try picturing Valhalla and you have a rough idea of Heaven.Originally posted by chikopek:I read from many obituries that Christian 'was called home with the lord' so all the Christians would go heaven to be with the lord after death? So how does the Christans' heaven like?

Can christians become 'ghost'?

If everyone like that, then there will be no reply liao. Those who helps answered will be asked questions by other people... so sad.. so fan..
This is a somewhat difficult question. It seems that man is likely made up of three distinct parts: body, soul, and spirit. The body is made up of flesh and can be touched. The soul forms the basic thought patterns and directs one’s functions. The spirit is in direct relationship with the Lord.Originally posted by M©+square:There is bound to have people asking this question.

I do believe christians, no matter how painful and convulsive their last breathe could be, they pass away peacefully. Their chores here is done & you know, they have some catching up to do with old friends on the other side. But sometimes, you know, just sometimes, i wish it ain't true. and that their spirits can still visa to and fro, to visit the ones they've loved, and had so regretfully left behind ;. iOriginally posted by M©+square:I will hold my reservations till it's necessary to discuss.

This is in line with Jewish theology.Originally posted by ben1xy:i remember when i was helping out at RCIA the priest said something similar.
he contrasted humans with animals.
like.. humans are made up of the spirit, soul and body. while in the case of animals, they are made up of only body and soul.
anyway, i aint too sure. hahaa.. i always drift off when listening
Hmm? What was edited?Originally posted by Icemoon:This is in line with Jewish theology.
In short, God created souls first. Then God created Adam which was a spiritual creation.
The Jews could accept this line of thinking. Many Christians cannot. That's why you seldom see the former arguing for literal 6 days creation. Or disagreeing vehemently that primates were our ancestors.
There are five judgements Icemoon which are you referring?Originally posted by Icemoon:I also confused.
