This is what they call blind faithOriginally posted by dragg:how do you stop seeking answers?
by not thinking about it?
exactly!!! faith is believing in something that has no way to prove.
Makes sense.Originally posted by SnowFlag:This is what they call blind faith
At issue is not whether we should question God, but in what manner—and for what reason—we question Him. To question God is not in itself wrong.
Insincere or glib questions, or questions from a hypocritical heart, are a different matter.
Having doubts is different from questioning God's sovereignty and attacking His character. In short, an honest question is not a sin, but a bitter, untrusting, or rebellious heart is. God is not intimidated by questions. God invites us to enjoy close fellowship with Him. When we "question God," it should be from a humble spirit and open mind.
Non Christians referring to who exactly?Originally posted by dumbdumb!:faith comes with conviction. u know that what you're doing isn't wrong, though it may sound crazy.
example, giving up everything to go china to do mission work.
you feel right about it, and its not morally wrong.
jumping in front of a fast moving heavy traffic, because a church leader ask you to, saying its a test of faith.
that's blind faith. its morally wrong to put yourself in extreme danger for no purpose at all. faith isn't tested that way.
that's the difference. i'm kinda sick of you non believers who don't know anything, but trying to sound like you do.
its like a grasshopper trying to understand how a lion hunts, and critisizing the lion's method of hunting.
Oh. Now i understand.Originally posted by dumbdumb!:i'm always agitated. lol
aiya there's alot of stupid pricks around.
its like a damn waste of time to answer their questions, when you don't even know whether they bother to understand or even listen or not.
its like all they want to do is just post questions displaying the seemingly large amount of flaws, but don't seek to understand.
in short, being a venomous snake gusing as an innocent dove, asking questions but the intent is to bite
i don't really care about believers la. as far as i'm concerned, they at least believe to a certain extent, and they understand issues on faith.Originally posted by M©+square:Oh. Now i understand.
But here are also 'some' believers are also gusing as innocent dove. Heh.
Hint Hint.
But how do you treat that baby when he/she don't "listen"? Do you cane or beat the baby? If you do, you are also dangerous, you know?Originally posted by dumbdumb!:but for these ignorant people.. its like trying to tell a baby why its dangerous to shove fingers into a live power socket
A baby dun understand what is obeying. You dun throw abusive or insulting words to the baby, do you?Originally posted by dumbdumb!:nope. i act fierce and spank the hand, so the baby will register it as
"if i touch that thing, i will get spanked, so i better not touch it"
some things don't need to be explained. some things just need to be obeyed.
i can apply the same logic to believers as wellOriginally posted by dumbdumb!:yeah. like in the bible, in psalm, king david was always questioning God, critisizing God, complaining to God.
many people thinks its wrong to complain to God, but actually its so untrue. God cares so much, he wants to be your pillar of strength, be a listening ear, and ultimately be your hand of power to pull through tough times.
there's a big bloody difference between questioning God during tough times, and trying to be glib and shooting remarks of critisizm under the guise of asking questions.
like many of the non believers in this stupid forum.
