Not answered 'cos theologians cannot give satisfactory answer?Originally posted by Honeybunz:He said that he has too many questions on the bible not answered.
Why do some people allow too many questions to get in their head and in their way to God?
Saint Thomas(es)Originally posted by the Bear:they have to feel that scar in the hands and feet of Jesus before they will believe...
some are like that..
just pray for them that one day they will find that thing which will strengthen their faith
How God can create Eve from ribs? LOL .. 'cos He is God mahOriginally posted by dumbdumb!:there are many things in the bible which are beyond human's comprehension, creation, end times etc.. how god can create eve from ribs.. etc etc.
But do you think he still does believe in God even though there are many questions?Originally posted by Honeybunz:I just had a word with an ex-Methodist who still very much believes in God.
But he refuses to attend any service.

It's ok to be a Saint Thomas bcos he is still a Saint in the end. Just dont stop going to church or Christian gatherings or reading up about the bible. If St. Thomas didnt go back to the upper room, how could he have believed while the rest believed already? Jesus is a kind God & saviour. He will even appear to show these saint thomases His scars & pierced side! I sincerely believe this.Originally posted by M©+square:Saint Thomas(es)
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)Originally posted by Honeybunz:I just had a word with an ex-Methodist who still very much believes in God.

LOL.Originally posted by happyharvest:The prophets in the OT also ask a lot of questions wah. Nothng wrong to ask questions.
I disagree with you. For example book of Job, some bible scholars think that the book of Job is not written by himself, by somebody(which I can't remember who now?) . Does job know that his predicament is because of satan? If he knows, then he should not worry in the first place and he would simply tell his friends about it.Originally posted by Icemoon:LOL.
'cos the prophets know their questions will be answered. they know God is speaking to them. (Hebrews write of God speaking to our ancestors through the prophets).
sometimes, the heart refuses God's answers because it is not pleasing to our soul. Questions not answered ? - Can always seek. Attending services is ironically a good way to seek - because it is the Audience of One. Many people allow questions to get into their head because they rely too much on themselves to want to solve problems. Where is God ?Originally posted by Honeybunz:I just had a word with an ex-Methodist who still very much believes in God.

The Roman catholics always say, "The Vatican always have the answer."Originally posted by dumbdumb!:cuz they forget that their basis of salvation comes from faith in Christ, and faith alone.
there are many things in the bible which are beyond human's comprehension, creation, end times etc.. how god can create eve from ribs.. etc etc.
but we're not called to live a blind faith either, there are many things in the bible which is explained to us, to give us sufficient evidence of god's existance, and god's plan. but human, being curious beings, are only interested in finding out what they don't know, and ignoring what they do know already.
and when they cannot get the answer, or do not understand the answer, they deny everything, claiming the teachings are faulty and of no "scientific basis"
how can man ever hope to understand everything the way an omnipotent god can? we are to god, like little insects are to us.
live in faith =)
I agree with dragg. Maybe we went through similiar experiences. Maybe...Originally posted by dragg:actually a lot of christians have doubt.
the only thing is they convince themselves or one another with 'the lord's thinking is not something we can understand'.
I think in most cases, it is the lazy way and the easy way out.Originally posted by M©+square:I agree with dragg. Maybe we went through similiar experiences. Maybe...
One can conclude that God's way is higher than men's.
1>>>It could either be denial or a form of escaping the main issue.
Or
2>>>Total reliance onto God.
Cheers
how do you stop seeking answers?Originally posted by sillyme:I agree with klydeer.
It's ok to have questions. The problem comes only if we sit on it and stop seeking an answer.
As to answer why, it's just their personality. It's a human behaviour, not unique to some christians only.
wahahah! i agree... if u can prove something and believe in it, it wouldn't be considered as faith would it now? faith is believing in things unseen...Originally posted by dragg:how do you stop seeking answers?
by not thinking about it?
exactly!!! faith is believing in something that has no way to prove.
