Sounds like something my church did sometime ago.... children's church concept?Originally posted by M©+square:Anyone heard of Superkids ministry?
Anyone visited that ministry before?
Cheers
they want to superkids to grow up to be supermen.Originally posted by Chin Eng:Sounds like something my church did sometime ago.... children's church concept?
I never understood the need to use words like "super"... Sometimes the appeal is the egos of the parents.

They had one of these ministry in Kedah. But i think they've moved somewhere.
Cheers
I agree that the function and output of that particular ministry in AlorStar was very specific.Originally posted by Chin Eng:Yup, that rings a bell.... Alor Star, I believe.
When I first heard that my church is embarking on this route and after hearing the various justifications, it struck me as a no-brainer. The model in Kedah may not be replicable in Singapore. I'd say only about less than 40% of the original model still exists, and I feel the percentage is decreasing.
I am a realist - I look at feasibility studies, the statistics, the objectives etc etc. Sure these folks can pray all they want, but if the objective is unrealistic and the manpower is insufficient, I'd be very concern.
There was this megachurch which held each service adult - newborn.Originally posted by Chin Eng:One time, one of the congregations in my church was going the direction of children's church and thereby made the kids sit through the entire worship....
Of course, we all know that inspite of the intentions, such a philosophy does not work.
