Hyperactive children are a disturbance at mass

I think they should be barred, maybe the church can set up a "temporary childcare centre" to faciliate this breed of children.
1)They create constant disturbances which irk people and disrupt the service.
2)They are not paying attention to the mass either.
3)Their parents have to pay special attention to them, thus missing out the priest's sermon at times.
lastly, why do the parents have to purposely bring out the children's toys and tidbits/junk food and cause noise pollution and added litter from morsels of food?The parents are also one way or another contributing to the noise pollution thru this actions.
The seats the children occupy can jolly well be given to other people who are standing(some masses are crowded) yet engrossed in the mass instead of other activities. -

actually got a point unless its helpful to them to be at the mass might as well put them in the children room then can "help" the interested pple also.

Never had that problem with my boys.
Yup, cane the kids or hang them out to dry or slap them till they turn blue.
Most churches nowadays are equipped with a cry-room. However most of the time, such cry rooms are turned into gossip centers.
At the end of the day the problem lies with the adults, they are either:
Not willing to discipline the children, allowing them to cry, yell, throw tantrum as and when they like, Basically boh-chap as they are worshipping and allow the kids to do whatever they like, Or inconsiderate that they do not clean up after themselves. No auto-gear. Some even condone their own kids running in the sanctuary during service.
Like I said, I never had this problem. Even during toddler stage, they are not allowed to throw tantrum. Both my sons, even now, do not throw tantrum.
Sigh!!!

Extend this outside churches and we will have quiet library, theatre.....
