You seem to like to end your questions this way.....
Please don't flame me lar... just need some comments and opinions on these. Keep the discussion cool and peaceful, okay?
The first qualifier is: is these the last days??? I don't know, but seems that every generation from the one in Acts think that they are. I have heard about the last days since I was a teenager. I have heard various theories of rapture and tribulations, read various interpretations of Revelations.... at the end of the day, I don't know and I think the writers also don't know.
Are dreams and visions increasing? Will dreams and visions increase during the end times?
Acts 2:17 tell us:
"In the Last Days," God says,
"I will pour out my Spirit
on every kind of people:
Your sons will prophesy,
also your daughters;
Your young men will see visions,
your old men dream dreams.
I see more traditional churches preaching more about the end times (e.g. using revelations) as compared to the past....
Due to past experience, I think I have to end this way. You trying to be funny, is it?Originally posted by Chin Eng:The first qualifier is: is these the last days??? Prophecies, visions and dreams may seem to have increased, if so, why is it that many of such "supernatural" events do not seem to jive with each other?
Traditional churches preaching more about end times? Where did you get this data? How did you compare to the past.... I'd just said it, I have heard more when I was younger than now. Very likely such messages are targetted to the younger generation, therefore people of this age group hears more about it.
when the bible have stated that No one will know the last days, the coming of last days. That means not even you know.Originally posted by happyharvest:Due to past experience, I think I have to end this way. You trying to be funny, is it?
The word "last day" appears quite often in the bible. How to you define "last days" in the bible? Some verse put it this way: "this is the last hour".... or something like that.... How do you define them???
In my experience, they seem to. (And I dun want to debate about it pls pls... maybe that is my experience... thanks for sharing your experience... )
N.B: I am not here to debate if now is the last day or not... I'm here to try to study the bible... and to know God's word better!
Thank You.
Errr... you got me wrong.. .. I din mean I feel now is the last day. I mean I feel my church now talk a bit more about the end times thingy compared to the past... Hope I clear it up........................(Maybe I wasn't clear in my message... paisey...)Originally posted by M©+square:when the bible have stated that No one will know the last days, the coming of last days. But if your experience serves you well, to believe that it is. Then, let it be.
I remember attending FOPs and the preacher will always say this is the last generation and have been on going for years.
By saying that all the time. Effectiveness of the coming of Last Days will dull the Christians. I believe.
HH: In your experience, what do you see and experience which made you believe that this is the last days?
Cheers.
Another bible verse I want to ask you is this:Originally posted by Chin Eng:The first qualifier is: is these the last days??? Huh????? If your parents said to you that they will overlook your offence (whatever it maybe) this time, does that mean that made a mistake? Or do they mean that they are choosing to ignore it, this time?Originally posted by happyharvest:Another bible verse I want to ask you is this:
Why did paul write this:
29"Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by man's design and skill. 30In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."
(Acts 17:29-31)
Does God make a mistake? Why God OVERLOOKED such ignorance? MC or other expert may want to comment...

This verse means sometimes God give chance. Alternatively refer to the more learned explanation at: http://biblecommenter.com/acts/17-29.htm
You might want to book mark such sites as a first level of queries or purchase a good reference Bible.
Hi klydeer,Originally posted by klydeer:The Message - version of Acts 17:30
God overlooks it as long as you don't know any better--but that time is past. The unknown is now known, and he's calling for a radical life-change.
Wanted to post the simplified chinese version of Acts 17:30 but text not recognised. You may wish to use Biblegateway to check it up.
Think the message is more of Grace than God making a mistake.

Think before you write before you have to say "Paisey if I have insulted you in any way, "
If you are not in a proper state of mind, don't write. don "maybe I wrote this in a spur of emotion... " There is no "Okay lar... peace peace" when you let yr emotion runs wild.
Address the mod properly, "Entertainers, please do your jobs" shows no respect.
We hear yr point, "We still need some entertainers lo... "consider EH as an entertaining forum ... To seek answer, never seek here...", "Entertainers, please do your jobs". But if you want entertainment, go look at the mirror "... I guess I wrote something foolish ... Haiz..."
