Have your local pastor/priest conducted an exorcism before?

dunno what is that all about.
exorcism aka deliverance is not about catching spirits...it means casting demons out. no outstanding objects n barang-barang to use...
only the name of Jesus Christ and faith in God is needed.
of course there are many so-called books and materials on how to deliver demons from people. i feel tt a close walk with God and reliance on His Spirit is all it needs.
shout loud loud, pray long long or even try to hold the demoniacs down....watever is of no use.
this is a spiritual warfare...pls use spiritual ammunitions and strenght -

anyways, a more accurate term for exorcism would be deliverance. possession by demons, as many would like to use, is fairly inaccurate in the context of Christians. most of what u see in the movies like The Exorcist is really over dramatization. i have seen deliverance before and have been through it myself.
Christians cannot be possessed as the we already belong to the Holy Spirit. we cannot have two masters, so its impossible for us as Christians to be owned by demons AND God. BUT, Christians CAN be demonized. to be demonized is to have a demon living in us and causing us to be tempted from within. if there are certain aspects of ur life that u cannot seem to overcome e.g. lust...anger... etc, there is a possibility of demonization. of course, not EVERY case is a case of demonization.
during deliverance, no holy water or crucifix is used. just the authority of Jesus, just like how the apostles did. there is no such thing as "spiritual strength", but rather, its the acknowledgement of ur authority in Christ.
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

sometimes, there is manifestation. that means, the demon will begin to speak through the person or act through the person. for example, a person who has been demonized in the area of anger will become VERY violent and start screaming. usually will take bout 5-6 people to hold that person down. in indonesia, there was a case of a woman demonized in the area of lust. during deliverance, she manifested and started to mimic intercourse. the manifestation is usually characteristic of the nature of the demon.
but again, not ALL deliverance cases has manifestations. some, if not most demons, leave quietly. moreover, deliverance is also dependent on the person being delivered. if he/she doesnt want to break free of that sin, then the demon cannot be cast out because it has the legal right to stay in that person.
what u see in the movies like The Exorcist is all fake... demons cannot kill those who walk with God because His protection is over them. there was a case in my church where a man was demonized by a spirit of death. it may sound made-up, but all the men in his side of the family died young, and he was the last one living. during the deliverance session, the demon professed that it tried to kill him, but couldnt because "this Jesus he worshipped forbade me". those were its words.
in anycase, deliverance can be done by whoever believes in Jesus and knows his authority in Christ. -

saw b4, the whole thing was done by my parents and about 3 more pastors
basically happen just outside my place(my family use to stay in dometries in our old church), this frail 48 year old woman, need like 5 men to hold her down, and serious, 3 of them can give PTIs a run for their money, you can just see this woman screaming abt in different voices(thats really the scary part), you can see the men holding her down while rest of the pastor pray and one of them keep calling the evil sprit to leave the body, whole thing lasted for like 7min, damn scary for me lah(was only 11 then), its really something you rather not witness -
