Thanks for the info.Originally posted by Chin Eng:The author of the articles of Morningstar Ministries, Rick Joyner, was identified as a cult leader. http://www.apologeticsindex.org/j08.html#prophet
Please proceed with caution.
There are basically two kinds of cults. The first kind is a manipulative group who controls its members completely and demands complete commitment and loyalty. The second kind of cult is one who deviates from biblical Christianity.Originally posted by A dot dot B dot dot:Christians got a lot of cult leaders.
No wonder JTB's remarks are so different from the rest. Cults....Originally posted by Chin Eng:The author of the articles of Morningstar Ministries, Rick Joyner, was identified as a cult leader. http://www.apologeticsindex.org/j08.html#prophet

I told u already. My view is the view of judgement on the world for unbelief w/c according to u, i m being extreme, judgemental or cultist. Dont u get it? Did i say i support Rick Joyner's views totally? I SAID A MORE BALANCED VIEW ON HURRICANE KATRINA CAN'T YOU READ? CAN YOU READ FIRST PROPERLY BEFORE YOU COMMENT & NOT JUST SHOOT YOUR MOUTH?Originally posted by laurence82:No wonder JTB's remarks are so different from the rest. Cults....

Thank you Chin Eng... I do agree with you. It's not nice to shout here. Lets try and keep things civilized and cordial ok? I know that at somepoint all of us have "lost it" but as mature believers in Christ, let us show love.Originally posted by Chin Eng:JTB,

But to say that you did not agree with the article totally goes against the trend of your actions. You had, probably with good intentions, supplied a link which, to you at that time, was innocous enough. It is very likely that you found the article to be relevant, without digging into the origin of the writer or the group which the writer heads.
I would put a link that I do not fully agree with, only with an explanation or a disclaimer upfront so that readers are aware of what they are going into.
So... you may have made a mistake..... apologise and move on.....
and please don't shout, It's not nice.
Ok i sincerely apologise here that i made a mistake. I just want to clarify that these judgements r not for us Christians. In fact, it will help us to show care & concern to those who r poor or facing trouble w/c i thot was what Rick Joyner was saying w/o knowing fully what was his backgrd. I thot the gospel could be advanced by these disasters but i din't know there r different views among Christians here w/c stick to peace time evangelism. Bcos got really confused when some of u asked in your posts why God didn't strike S'pore with disaster. I believe God has blessed S'pore very much bcos of our evangelism & bcos of praying ppl & bcos society tolerates Christian worship & evangelism & allows churches to flourish w/o much interference. So i thot some of u r complaining that disaster didn't strike S'pore. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I sincerely apologise. God bless you all!Originally posted by Chin Eng:JTB,
