  They have not finalised the decision yet. Will take a long time, I guess, since this is a major decision for a large community (more than 1 billion Catholics worldwide).

  It is OK to allow married men to study for the priesthood, but allowing priests to marry is a bit funny.

  Last time I thought of becoming a female priest cuz I wanted to celebrate Mass like any priests. Kept asking the priests why cannot. Most of them gave me the same old reason, like the Apostles are all males etc etc...
  
  Only Fr Martin Loh (the franciscan friar) did not disagree with me.
  He said "It will be great to have female priests. That will lighten our (all the existing priests) load!!"
  
  But then, at the end of the day, I will still respect Vatican's decision.

  On the other hand, I also read somewhere that the Eastern rite Catholic clergy have actually urged their Latin rite brethren not to go down the path of a married priesthood. The Eastern rite Churches have married clergy and they face all sorts of pastoral problems. In fact, some are aiming towards the target of have 50% celibate priests.

  Unlikely. The Church has already publicly proclaimed that it does not have the power to confer priestly ordination to women. You can look up the document 'Ordinatio Sacerdotalis' published in May 1994.
