Hello all, if u r interested, pls search for "The prophecies of St. Malachy" using search engines like google or yahoo. Very interesting prophecy of the no. of popes until the end time. This present pope is the 2nd last pope acc to count of popes from last time. Very convincing as even the name Benedict xvi is connected to the prophecy.
I agree somewhat that we r on the verge of great trib. Bcos this pope is very old & vatican said he is a transitional pope as they r looking for younger one. How long could he serve? I was glued to CNN, BBC etc for the election of the pope & walla, BLACK SMOKE!
A sign of the times! The 1st one in so many yrs acc to catholic sources. I think the next one just might be the antipope or false prophet but this is my own opinion only. Catholics pls dont whack me. Maybe this pope will die some time in future, or resign or gets raptured up. Holy Spirit seems to be telling me that God has given so much grace to us all-see how He preserved Pope John Paul II. Even when he was hunchback & wracked with disease & pain, he survived until the turn of the millenium & beyond. God is so good! God is so good! God is so good, he's so good to me! Btw, this is a very nice song to me even when i m suffering now. -

Not all Christians r smart, look handsome, tall, articulate or sexy. Bcos of certain megachurches in S'pore, ppl got wrong idea of Christians in general. Ppl also got wrong idea of Christians in general bcos they just look at wealthy ones in S'pore or USA. I am not rich, handsome, sexy (eek!), smart etc etc..... So what! I have no problem with that, and there is no need to make any declaration at all, because I am not insecure with my self-image.

i still stand by my stance.. whether or not the End Times are coming, we still persevere in our lives as Christians. u don't preach or engage in good works because the End Times are coming. u do it out of love and out of obedience.

I agree with you that we should not try so hard to guess the timing or relate every world events to the bible prophecies. The issue of status was never a problem in this thread, your brought it up.

You are probably not too wrong in your assessment, I'd give MC benefit of the doubt. If you reread JTB's reply to MC, I don't think he was pissed at that time. His next note was basically wallowing in self-pity.
He got really upset only after Lau's reply... where JTB started with the bold-caps treatment.
I still think he is pissed 'cos of my comments about his posting of links that are totally not credible. There has been no apologies or at least a admittance of an oversight. There has been, however, questions on Apologetics Index's purpose and mission. So instead of at least looking whether one is wrong or not, one decides now to point fingers at others.
So now that you've analysed MC's question, do you have any comments to the bold-caps rebuttals that JTB is accustomed to delivering?

JTB talked about the prophecy of the no. of popes till the end time, and he is convinced that the present pope is the 2nd last and we r on the verge of great trib. and oh, a sign of times, and the "Holy Spirit seems to be telling me that God has...." and then he talked about his sufferings. Is he in a trance or what?
I thought question like that from Mc+Square would be good to wake him up from further "imagined sufferings".
His reply certainly showed that he was anything but sober.

JTB, take a break for a while and calm down... no use hitting your head against a wall, even Jesus used tact when He was reasoning with the pharisees. Ask God/Holy Spirit for wisdom to put your message across. I don't doubt that you have a valid one, but maybe rephrase it? No point upsetting everyone, even us Christians, we are all on the same side, if you have gotten Chin Eng upset, then you must have hit a nerve somewhere... he is pretty calm... I know that you don't care about what people think about you, but we are also reminded not to stumble our fellow believers in Christ. Take some time to pray about this.. please?

I dunno what sufferings JTB is facing and whether if they are imagined or real, so I will first get to ask about his background first lo to understand his sufferings. If really JTB is really imagining things, then well, have a nice conversation with him lo and see what I can help to solve his problems lo
Again, we no see JTB, so he cannot have a definite answer in whether he is sober or not lo. We can only guess. We can never be definite in our views on others in forums. We dun understand JTB. We never see JTB. So it is safer to guess first and then try to understand him lo. It is rather time consuming lo.
