I eat food my uncle's family offered to his forefathers. Anything wrong with that? If you don't believe that it has been touched by spirits, it is perfectly fine.

I am not a christian but I absolutely cannot eat food offerings...

Some people just let their fears and own supersition get to them and make false claims that any food offered to gods/ancestors... they cannot touch and eating them makes them sick or less faithful to their own religion. Its utter rubbish. Then all Xtians and Catholics who eat Malay food better watch out since their food are halal. Lots of people like to set some funny rules and live by them making life difficult for others.

You make your own life difficult by thinking that the food makes you feel sick .. what your mind thinks becomes true.
I am a free thinker and i do not care about what happens to the food as long I know someone took the effort to prepare it for me. There are lots of people out there who do not have access to food and others do not have money to buy any good food and here's people who refused food cause of their own mental block.
So what's wrong with you to interprete everything in your context? -

The teaching about food offered to idols has nothing to do with what it does to oneself, but what testimonies it bring about to those who view such act as wrong. There is nothing wrong with such food from the nutritional standpoint and neither does it have any supernatural power after the food is offered to idols.
