Just like any relationship, you have to in constant communication. For example, read the bible daily, pray daily. Spend time to hear for God's voice.

ok .. put it this way. even if u dun tell God.. he will still know. he is omnipresent and omnipotent. u cant hide it from him.
but... if u seek God with a repentent heart, u will be forgiven.

I feel that God Chaser is a good read for modern Christians who are not so interested in Classics
Though Tozer lived till the 80s but this particular book 'The Pursuit Of God' was labelled as one of christian Classics.
Hmm...all in all.
God Chaser will teach a Christian how to weep, how to seek to worship at all times.
Pursuit of God will teach you how to seek God with 'all my heart mind and soul', how to be solely dependant on Him.
