Ya lor... the child suffers from a disease and diseases have spiritual roots to it... parents' or ancestors who broke God's command like idolatry, witchcraft, divination/fortune telling, hatred, fornication, homosexuality, etc. etc. These sins bring along a CURSE with it... so people who participated in acts of sin will unknowingly cause their own bodies to develop diseases or cause a genetic disorder in their offspring and the generations to come. Why God didn't prevent all these mutations? Well, God gave human beings a free will. He didn't make robots. If human thinks they can tamper with HIS original design in creation and purposes, then human also indirectly tampers with their own biological and spiritual destiny... in co-operation with the Devil.Originally posted by oxford mushroom:1. The child suffers from a disease. Since the Fall of Man disease has been with mankind. Are you surprised? Go and read tyhe book of Job. He asked why he had to suffer although he was righteous, something most cannot say of themselves. Read God's reply at the end of the book.

[b]This great, old religion of Hinduism which is supposed to be full of wisdom as contained in their mahabharata scriptures... causes India to be among the poorest nation in the world even till this day! The country is always hit by famine, the people are sick (with high number of AIDS), the children die of malnutrition, the women are oppressed, the social gap between the poor and the rich are far too wide -> the rich does not contribute to the nation's progress but only for themselves while the poor suffers for what they believe is karma. If the doctrine of karma is correct, then it's no surprise that the whole of India is suffering for their own sins. Hinduism taught them correctly indeed.

Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life" not, "I'll show you the way, I'll bring you to the truth and I'll teach you about life." That's why Christians hold on to the bible. Other religious scriptures may teach what are seemingly good principles but good works alone does not bring life.Originally posted by shade343:They keep on quoting the bible for every damn thing. Well, of course! Especially since the religion is claimed as the oldest in the world and is supposed to have contained many wisdom from sages or gurus from ancient times. The reason why India is still not very well of today was because of the caste system created by the humans-Not by hinduism.
The law of karma is correct as what jesus said. "what goes around comes around". Those who do good will be rewarded with good. Those who do bad will suffer. How they suffer is not for humans to decide but for God to decide. Those wo are wicked could either suffer in this life or their next life.
Transexuality is a genetic disorder and is a curse as a result of one's ancestor's sin or many sins. Someone up in the family tree must have done something so detestable in God's sight to have passed down such abnormalities in his/her genes to the generations down the line. Maybe the ancestors practised incest, or had sex with an animal or practised high level of witchcraft.. or was a Satan-worshipper, or was a serial killer or anything that was simply too evil to even mention. But that doesn't mean that the child born with double gender is beyond hope. With God in Jesus Christ, all things are possible. God says in Jeremiah 32:27 "I am the LORD, the GOD of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" (We're talking about the CREATOR who created mankind and all species of flora and fauna and who runs the universe). But the condition for healing, reversal and removal of the curse or genetic defect is that a confession of the sins of the forefathers, repentance and renounciation must be made in the name of Jesus Christ and the person must never turn back from God to follow his/her forefather's evil ways.Originally posted by JennTS:all that you guys have addressed so far is homosexuality, but nothing has been said about transsexuality.
so far almost no christian has been able to give me a straight answer yet. most of them just tell me to ask God for an answer. it hasn't really been mentioned anywhere in the Bible about changing sex either (probably because it wasn't possible then).
and in the event that someone changes sex, whichever sex he or her chooses to be with, it can be seen as both homosexuality or heterosexuality.
eg: if i'm a guy, and i changed sex to a girl....
if i choose to be with a guy, it can be seen as normal, because im a girl and i should be with a guy. or either that it can be seen as homosexuality, because i was born a guy, and being with a guy would make me homosexual.
and vice versa if i choose to be with a girl.

Hey, I'm not saying that Christianity is the perfect religion. In fact, only Jesus Christ is perfect because He is God himself! Christianity as a religion is not. And not all Christians apply the laws and commands of the bible into their lives, so it's not surprising that some "so-called Christians" do fall into sin and are as corrupt as other non-Christians. That is because their hearts have grown cold or hardened and have slowly lost their knowledge of God and of His ways. For all who have put their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, we all know where we're heading for even if the world has become a nut case and suffering abounds.
By the way, Jerusalem practices Judaism, it is not a Christian nation. Many do not recognize or acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
In case you haven't read one of my previous post in page 4, sin does have negative effects to our bodies. Anything that we allow to dwell in our thoughts, emotion or in our very actions which is not of God can be disastrous to our body because our body (which means our every cell, genes and organs) DO actually manifest into what we believe or do. Sinful and hideous acts like incest, sex with animal, homosexuality, witchcraft, hatred and murder not only alters our mind and emotion but our physical bodies as well.Originally posted by JennTS:all that you guys have addressed so far is homosexuality, but nothing has been said about transsexuality.

2 and 3. The causes are numerous and depend on the underlying disease. Probably the most common cause is congenital adrenal hyperplasia, due to an abnormality of the endocrine system. The baby is a girl with penis because of a hormonal defect. Doctors correct the hormonal defect and the child can be raised normally as a girl. Other rare, chromosomal abnormalities can cause ambiguous genitalia but doctors can and will decide on the sex assignment based on the case. Plastic surgery may be required but the parents will be told of the child's sex with no ambiguity at all.
There are two other 'intersexual' conditions but both cases DO NOT have ambiguous genitalia.
Turner syndrome (XO) is a condition in which the child has gonadal dysgenesis. She looks like a normal girl with normal female genitalia but she will be infertile.
Testicular feminisation syndrome is a condition where there is an abnormality of the male hormone receptor. The child looks like a normal girl and nobody suspects anything until she grows up (usually tall and often pretty) but does not have menses nor axillary or pubic hair. They have XY chromosome but are usually brought up as girls because nobody suspect the problem until puberty. The testes are small and not developed. Doctors often remove them to prevent the risk of cancer. They often marry and are well adjusted women but they will not have children.
Where did you hear about injecting the genitals with male and female hormones? It's certainly not acceptable medical practice In any case, I can assure you both your two versions will not happen.

I will answer all your questions in one answer: This is a fallen world. If everything is perfect, we would be in Heaven.Originally posted by M©+square:Very well Spokesman of God!
I'd like to know where do you or Christians stand on only three questions below.
Referance
Ecclesiastes 7:13 Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?
Paslm 139:13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb.
Scenario::: A child is born with both female and male genital. (This are true cases by the way)
Qns 1: God fashioned his creation(Ps 139:13). This baby is also fashioned and created by God. Considering Ecc 7:13. What happened?God's will? he made crooked?
Qns 2: Is this child a Male or Female?
Which organ should be dealt with to ensure that this child would live a normal life with a single organ and single Sex identity??
- To remove the male organ?
- To Surgically operate and close up the female organ?
- Or to retain as it is?
Qns 3: This child have rather balanced hormone of both male and female. So either male/female hormones need to be injected so that the newborn will grow up being of his/her sex. What is the next course of action when situation of either Ver 1 or 2 arises?
Version 1
The child(female organ) was injected with female hormones but grew up to realise 'she' is a man with facial hair and muscles.
Version 2
The child(male organ) was injected with male hormones but grew up to realise 'he' have breast?
I hope you can attempt to answer these questions, in your own view.
I wish to know your stand and steadfastness.

What you said in your last paragraph is indeed correct. You are so absolutely right! Indeed we reap what we sow. I think most religions teaches that. That's why don't blame God for children born with genetic defects like transexuals, Autism, Down's syndrome and many other diseases. Humans being have been so filled with sin from the beginning of time, that this is the result of the mess we've made. Blame it on Adam. He passed down the curse to mankind due to his disobedience to His Creator. Now we all have to suffer one way or another. Only in Jesus Christ can we find healing, restoration and hope, if not in the present age, then in the age to come. That's why Jesus have to pay the penalty for our sins by being whipped countless times and suffered a painful death on the cross. Through Jesus Christ, God was trying to tell us that He cared and He wants to reverse the curse.
The bible says "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive"
