Catholics hardly evangelise or preach

Being a Catholic, i find this so.But its a good thing for once because we give people a freedom of right to choose their religon rather than some overzealous groups(I will not name names)

we are supposed to evangelise actually. but evangelisation can take many forms (think Mother Theresa). This is one of the major conflict of practise.
It depends on what the emphasis of scripture it's relying on. -
We are not expected to spew bible verses or hand out tracts, but I think more importantly we should live out our Catholic values.. Show others the joy of being Catholic.

Nowadays they have altar girls (as in Australia), but I'm not sure if this is really a wise thing to do. The purpose of having altar servers, is to encourage future priests. -

Take note, nuns are not ordained clergy. They are consecrated religious. -
From these above replies, you can see why i do support the Catholic faith in terms of evangelism and practices. Some groups (i shall not name also) love to attack the Catholics, their past history and the papal system, but among the christian lot, i see the catholics as the least hyporcritical, practise their faith diligently and without conflicts with members of other faiths.
Its safe to say, John Paul is a byword for peace and and Mother Teresa is synonymous with love for mankind. -
You can't say the same about Ben 16th. I've been interviewing Wiccans for one of my projects and they can't stand the former Cardinal Ratzinger's ways. To them, he is someone who seeks to "turn the clock back to the 1500s".
