  firstly, it doesnt push up the ratings, N number of forumes did that b4 u in N number of forums, it didnt work
  
  secondly, it depends on unique number of views and postings
  
  thirdly, its annoying, and as u can see, most of the topics dont even have a reply
  
  those unused topics clog up server space and contribute to unwanted lag in server connection speed
  
  really appreciate it if u dont do this further..thanks

  First, I ask those questions because I want to know more views. So I don't see it as spam.
  
  Second, I did that not with the mind of pushing ratings. I just want to have more exchange of ideas.
  
  Third, so now I heard that it is annoying and I know that no one want to want to answer or have any ideas how to answer, so in future, I will minimise the number of questions asked.
