What happens?Originally posted by hotdogz_777:I SURELY hope i will dare be a martyr, at that point in time.
But humanly speaking, i dare not even trust myself. I am a sinful person and my flesh may be too weak at that crucial point in time to acknowledge Christ and suffer for Him..But i know that day will come, in different ways.
Thankfully, Singapore does not persecute christians YET.
I will not dare say i will DEFINATELY be willing to die for Christ. But i do what can now, having a closer r/s with my Creator and ask Him to strengthen and build me up to the person He wants me to be, so that when that day comes, i will please Him.
I remember Peter, the apostle. He also said Never will I betray my Lord!..but what happen??
In fact, some believe the Religious Harmony Act act against christianity, i tried to post one Chick article but alas, url doesnt work nowOriginally posted by hotdogz_777:I SURELY hope i will dare be a martyr, at that point in time.

Surprisingly, when i was browsing thru the library this morning in search of a book, i saw one book on religions in singapore, (it was singapore collection section anyway), i browse thru and saw one line
The intention of the RHA, not surprisingly, is to act against the evangelical advances of certain religions. No brainer to guess who it mean.
Matthew 26:31-35Originally posted by The return:What happens?
yup. i agree wholeheartedly with this. at this moment i would say 'yes, i would be willing'.Originally posted by hotdogz_777:Matthew 26:31-35
Peter says he will never betray Jesus (did he not know his human weaknesses?)
Later in V69-45, he falls to temptations and denied the Lord.
So, if Peter, being such a close discipler and walk-er with Jesus, can fall to human weakness and deny Jesus, what about us?
Not as if there is no hope for us, but we can probably learn from Peter's lesson. Personally, instead of being sure i wont deny Christ, i would pray for God to prepare me to give Him the greatest glory..what u think??

With references to what I posted, i think the gahmen has done well with the RHA, to keep the bad lot of the religious leaders down.Originally posted by Icemoon:The society needs religious leaders to uphold the moral fabric.

Do u think i am talking abt anti Catholics topics? What do i look like, fandango?Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:elaborate....
the argument found in chick tracts are so laughable that even professional anti-Catholics refuse to use them...
The very fact that we preach Jesus Christ is the ONLY Way, Truth & the Life & no one comes to the Father but thru Him is already "badmouthing" other faiths. No need for vulgarities or blasphemies. Get what i mean?Originally posted by laurence82:Do u think i am talking abt anti Catholics topics? What do i look like, fandango?
He argued that RHA acts against christianity because christians need to spread the word of god, while rha acts to curb such evangelical activities. i dont mean totally ban, but curb in terms of how you present yourselves.
tendency for some christians, while evangelising, tend to badmouth other faiths. intentionally or not, whether they know the consequences or not..
Originally posted by John The Baptist:Not quiite up there yet. If you limit yourself to saying the only way is thru jesus blah blah, is still ok. Many have resorted to broaching the subject of comparisons with other faiths, slandering and stuff. Thats bad enuff.
