This is the crux. Dare to confess Jesus in front of everyone even at the point of death.[/b]
Thanks for the funny name. Yes i am John the Baptist aka forerunner or according to u forummer. Whatever the case, do u mean u r willing yourself to die for Jesus? If u show your hands up, i might consider showing mine also & many might just follow us when they see our courage & faith in the face of death. Maybe i m a S'porean so a bit kiasi & kiasu lah. Someone has to risk his or her neck first b4 others will follow.Originally posted by Icemoon:John The Baptist (I mean the forummer, not the cousin of Jesus ) wrote that in the "Calvinism or Arminianism" topic.
A quick show of hands .. how many of you are willing to do that? Be honest.
Someone has to take the lead and he/she is faith stronger than others.Originally posted by John The Baptist:Thanks for the funny name. suicide bomber?Originally posted by breytonhartge:Yes I will.
No way a suicide bomber... if you commit suicide, you actually go to hell and not heaven, a martyr in the sense that I will not renounce my belief in Jesus even if it means that I will have to die for it.Originally posted by Ray2:suicide bomber?
thou shall not killOriginally posted by laurence82:So if not suicide bombing, will u kill non christians?
dont take the route of the islamic fundamentallists, the world is troubled as it is already...
what if someone interpret the bible as to mean he is allowed to kill?Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:thou shall not kill
be like peter then huh?Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:We can't say for sure until the time comes.
Yes, i will as a Christian stop him & arrest him. Christian can be police officers u know & upright ones at that. Anyway, only a mad man will interpret the bible to mean he is allowed to kill or he is suffering from schizophrenia or depression. I recommend a psychiatrist or psychologist to him & pls kindly ask him to take medication or he will relapse again. Until he is strong in faith again & free from schizo or depression, then he can read the bible properly.Originally posted by laurence82:what if someone interpret the bible as to mean he is allowed to kill?
will u as a christian, stop him?
Since the moderator has taken the lead as well as a few others, I also show my hand lah. Brothers in Christ, brothers at arms & brothers in martyrdom. BTW, i am not Guan Gong.Originally posted by breytonhartge:Yes I will.
Who knows brother that by being martyr even much more can be accomplished?Originally posted by breytonhartge:No way a suicide bomber... if you commit suicide, you actually go to hell and not heaven, a martyr in the sense that I will not renounce my belief in Jesus even if it means that I will have to die for it.
But I do not want to be a matyr, I can accomplish much more alive thank you very much!!!!!
Where did u get the idea of Christian martyr being suicide bomber? It's wrong to bomb ppl & bomb yourself as well. As i said, they are crazy! & a mad man will come claiming he is Jesus Christ the 2nd. I pray that the world would see b4 too late.Originally posted by Ray2:suicide bomber?
That one I leave for our Lord to decide. My life is in His hands. Everything I am, I have are all His.Originally posted by John The Baptist:Who knows brother that by being martyr even much more can be accomplished?
I understand that there are some views on whether or not if someone commit suicide, he/she will go to hell or not.Originally posted by breytonhartge:No way a suicide bomber... if you commit suicide, you actually go to hell and not heaven, a martyr in the sense that I will not renounce my belief in Jesus even if it means that I will have to die for it.

Many people make the mistake of believing the Bible says, “You shall not kill.” However, the Bible actually says, “You shall not murder” (Exo 20:13). The Hebrew word literally means “the intentional, premeditated killing of another person”. God often ordered the Israelites to go to war with other nations (1Sam 15:3; Josh 4:13). God ordered the death penalty for numerous crimes (Exo 21:12; 21:15; 22:19; Lev 20:11). So, God is not against killing, but rather only murder. War is never a good thing, but sometimes it is a necessary thing. In a world filled with sinful people (Rom 3:10-18 ), war is inevitable. Sometimes the only way to keep sinful people from doing great harm is by going to war with them.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:thou shall not kill

Yes, and we should respect each other views. We answer to the Lord ourselves, right? We should not be an obstacles to each other and if by faith you think it is so it is. You account to the Lord, at the end of the day. Read Romans 14, though it is not about killing.Originally posted by M©+square:It was discussed with my very close friend before.
He chose to stand by the point above.
I chose to see the creationism point of view. Value of God's creation and life itself.
Cheers
