1. and i believe everyone in new orleans whom died, deserves it. yeah baby.Originally posted by happyharvest:a. It can be seen as a kind of punishment i.e judgment against sin.
a. No. The bible is clear that he is a Sovereign God. We simply cannot understand all the details of the divine plan because of our finite mind.
a. His final punishment will come shortly after the end of the millennial reign of Christ on the earth. At that time, Satan will be "cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever" (Rev. 20:10).
We simply cannot understand all the details of the divine plan because of our finite mind.

God's punishing those ppl at Tsunami?
Actually it has nothing to do with whichever denominations teachings or POV.Originally posted by M©+square:nope.
i don't know cause i don't have any answer. but it doesn't also justify that it's for a good purpose.
Only God knows the purpose and plans.
Keep in mind that there were majority who died as unbelievers.
I'm not sure why you think that there will be a compensation.
Maybe Catholic and Protestant POV is really different.
Cheers
Hebrews 12:7-13 tells us, "As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Whoever heard of a child who was never disciplined? If God doesn't discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children after all. Since we respect our earthly fathers who disciplined us, should we not all the more cheerfully submit to the discipline of our heavenly Father and live forever? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God's discipline is always right and good for us because it means we will share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening--it is painful! But afterward there will be a quiet harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs. Mark out a straight path for your feet. Then those who follow you, though they are weak and lame, will not stumble and fall but will become strong."Originally posted by Honeybunz:Actually it has nothing to do with whichever denominations teachings or POV.
The reason for my answer is I never believe that our God is a punishing God even though the OT made Him sound like one. But in NT, God is mentioned as a loving God.
Hence, I always believe that God allows bad things to happen for good reasons. I also dun have the answer for the Tsunami, but what i stated was what I observed happening after the diseaster. People started to care about one another after the "wake up call" from the Tsunami.
Hehe.. maybe I just like to see the positive sides of everything.
Ok... when i see him, i will ask him.Originally posted by happyharvest:As to why Tsunami, why the recent disasters, we don't know. Meet Him in heaven, maybe you will know.
