This is because I have assigned 1 and 2 and so on to a some given values in the beginning. Don't you see it. Please. It is illogical..... You know Maths?Originally posted by laurence82:i think gasband already shown how equations like 1 + 1 need not be 2...
Numbers by itself have no additional value. 1 = 1 , 2 = 2 and so on.Originally posted by laurence82:Sigh, somebody still cant see it
The wonders of maths....
erm.. i shall stick to my derivatives thk u very much .....Originally posted by laurence82:still, u just admit, it still can be twisted....
its very contradictory, u said 1 + 1 = 2 is because we dont put values to it, but yet we did
the 1 we understand today is because we put our own understanding of 1 to it
for example, one apple, one pound, one lifetime, even 1 itself can be construed in many ways
thats why the creation of 0 for nothing was considered a breakthrough in maths, nobody b4 that know how to do it, even tho we consider it basic maths nowadays
same goes for binary system, hexadecimal system, Arabic and Roman numerals and greeks maths on -1
by the way, +1 to be exact, is also derived from Greeks needing to absolute the number -1....
derivatives? paiseh, for moment i was thinking of my futures, options and warrantsOriginally posted by ben1xy:erm.. i shall stick to my derivatives thk u very much .....
but seriously.. when was the concept of 0 brought forth?
hmm cool stuffOriginally posted by laurence82:derivatives? paiseh, for moment i was thinking of my futures, options and warrants
i am not sure, but one need not look far
Indians are the one who gave the world 0, and the Arabic numerals we all are using today, meaning 1 2 3 4 5 instead of I II III IV V
This is two totally different cases. I'm refering to the original intended meaning of 1 when the number system is created at that point.Originally posted by laurence82:still, u just admit, it still can be twisted....

No lar. Not everyone has given. I think you also haven't give the answer.Originally posted by ben1xy:
u better post hor .... everyone gave their answer le...
my answer is 3125 laOriginally posted by jnwk:No lar. Not everyone has given. I think you also haven't give the answer.

I owe all of you an answer. So my answer is 5=1.Originally posted by jnwk:Can anyone give me the correct answer to the simple problem below. Take a break, solve a maths problem.
1 = 5
2 = 25
3 = 125
4 = 625
5 = ?
For the fun of it.
pukes bloodOriginally posted by happyharvest:I owe all of you an answer. So my answer is 5=1.
Why?
In the first place 1 cannot be 5 and so on, mathematically. But since I have set those rules in the beginning, this is a special case. In the beginning, I set 1 to be equal to 5 and so 5 will be equal to 1 lo. How can 5 be equal to some other value neh?
so,
1= 5
2 = 25 = 21
3 = 125 = 12 = 121 and so on
4 = 625 = 62 = 621 and so on
5 = 1
If you are playing with sequence, it should be:
5, 25, 125, 625, ? ---> ? = 3125 lo
Wa lao, in the beginning, I have set this rules le, yet you guys never listen. [kidding]
~ That's my answers. ~
No prize for those who answers correctly.
I'm waiting for people to make me pukes blood heh heh.Originally posted by ben1xy:pukes blood
