You should donate money on your free will and not expect anything in return.
It is not a business deal.
If you have done a lot of sins, donating money will not eliminate your sin.
If that is your mindset, it is just your way of feeling less guilty. -

Even though im not a christian, Its what ur heart give is wat gos see, not the price. So whenever u want to donate, It shud be out of ur heart
