Stay under a shelter or get drenched lor. Or use leaves, I think.Originally posted by Icemoon:last time those outside China raining how ah? No umbrella then wun get flu meh?
But before the Chinese invented paper, the Egyptians had their papyrus scrolls (made from some Nile reeds). The Chinese were still using their heavy bamboo blocks at that time. Am I right?Originally posted by Honeybunz:Ya, that's the one. I think Chinese's invention of that, paper and umbrella are the most impt invention to the human race.
Actually even though Cai Lun invented paper during the Han Dynasty, we still see officials using the bamboo blocks during Three Kingdoms. You all watched the drama right? Still using bamboo blocks siah .. lolOriginally posted by iveco:But before the Chinese invented paper, the Egyptians had their papyrus scrolls (made from some Nile reeds). To be chosen carries with it the extra baggae. This is not fun.Originally posted by earthlings73:Maybe the Chinese are god chosen people...
so all this can be linked, without doubt, to god, or rather, to god as depicted in the bibles?Originally posted by Icemoon:To be chosen carries with it the extra baggae. This is not fun.
Actually, God and biblical figures left their marks in various cultures:
1. the worldwide flood. Enuff said. Even ah heng was intrigued.
2. the depiction of Fu Xi - this guy can be considered the Adam of chinese civilization. Do you realize how he is depicted in paintings and symbols? I leave you to find out.
3. pyramids in many cultures. Even the tomb of Qin Shihuang looks like a pyramid. The whole of li-shan (where he is supposedly buried) is like a pyramid! The pyramid symbolises mankind yearn for the afterlife, heaven, whatever lah (think of the Egyptians and Qin Shihuang). We find this in the bible too - the tower of babel! Maybe God confused the people and their descendants knew the art of pyramid building from the very first prototype - tower of babel.
Some of you may think this is bullshit. Maybe aliens did it.
I suppose we need to see the whole thing in a framework. Does it make sense from the Christian point of view?Originally posted by laurence82:so all this can be linked, without doubt, to god, or rather, to god as depicted in the bibles?
No no that wasnt what i meantOriginally posted by Icemoon:I suppose we need to see the whole thing in a framework. Does it make sense from the Christian point of view?
The more we research, the more we find it intriguing. I find the Fu Xi one quite original.
ooo some trivia.... i've actually visited that temple that was used to worship Shang Di on 1 of my research trips. The place was massive!Originally posted by laurence82:No no that wasnt what i meant
Once, sumone posted and hinted that Shang Di depicted in Chinese folklore is actually god as depicted in christianity
Even tho there may be biblical accounts of floods, Fu Xi and so on..does this mean we must readily accept the bibles hold supremacy over other faiths scriptures and that we must accept the rest of the bibles?
The real tomb of Qin Shihuang is not yet founded...too many fakes tombs have been discoveredOriginally posted by Icemoon:3. pyramids in many cultures. They don't spend too much time on religion that's why they are smarterOriginally posted by Honeybunz:I notice a lot of famous ppl and scientists are Jews.
Why do they seem to be much smarter than most of the world, though there is such a small number of them?
Is it because they are the chosen ppl of God? That's why they are blessed with wisdom?
The real tomb has not been unearthed. Should be still under Li-Shan.Originally posted by maggot:The real tomb of Qin Shihuang is not yet founded...too many fakes tombs have been discovered
Correct to some extent. They (meaning famous Jews) are not very religious. Marx was obviously not religious. Freud religious meh? Don't think so ..Originally posted by maggot:They don't spend too much time on religion that's why they are smarter
They spend most of their time doing research
The bible is not supreme. They (bible and other faith scriptures) point towards the same God. Whether it is flood in bible or flood in babylonian, chinese etc. accounts, they point to the same flood.Originally posted by laurence82:No no that wasnt what i meant

test of time? time is running out!Originally posted by Icemoon:The bible is not supreme. They (bible and other faith scriptures) point towards the same God. Whether it is flood in bible or flood in babylonian, chinese etc. accounts, they point to the same flood.
Accept the rest .. hmm .. wait and see lor .. if the bible is real as claimed by believers, then it will stand the test of time.
Do u mean Temple of Heaven?Originally posted by ben1xy:ooo some trivia.... i've actually visited that temple that was used to worship Shang Di on 1 of my research trips. The place was massive!
