Jesus was a jew right? I thought all Jews needed to circumcise because of their covenant with God.

Luke 1:21 And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

The brit mila (meaning ritual circumcision) is always held during the eighth day after the child is born. For example, if the baby is born on 1 Aug (monday), his bris will be held on 9 Aug (tues).
The Jews view circumcision as a religious ceremony, similar to Christian's infant baptism. Thus, it is recommended that a Mohel perform the circumcision. A Mohel is a Jew who has been trained in the physical procedures of circumcision and understands the religious signficance of the ritual. If a mohel is not available, then a Jewish physician can perform the circumcision. It is customary to invite a rabbi to conduct the service.
After the circumcision, the baby will be given his name (definitely a hebrew name) in the prayer.
