do u think think people really go for the faith?
some go to bio the chio bu in the church, some treat it as social groups
....
huh? doesnt make senseOriginally posted by Icemoon:Told you liao .. what you see in JC is "controlled". If the rich peeps are there, then their grade or sporting achievement has to make it. Were you from ACS?
Come to think of it, if your parents are rich and you don't have super good grades (to take S papers and get president scholarship), why would you continue to study in JC? You don't need JC to enter overseas university. And between local Uni and overseas uni, obviously overseas uni is a more attractive option. Plus you get your degree faster.
Divorce is higher among rich people. Go ACS and ask around.
i say some leh....i didnt say allOriginally posted by Honeybunz:Dun stereotype leh.
I dun bio chio bu one.
We misunderstood each another.Originally posted by laurence82:huh? doesnt make sense
whats wrong with them making it out with either a good grades or winning a sports medal?
why were they separated? care to share? then ask yourself whether the rich have this problem.Originally posted by laurence82:i dont agree that divorce is a only issue with rich people, how about my frens who are poor and their parents are separated or divorced since even young? my experience with these issues started when i was in NS, so many cases like these, and there is nuthing to show their income size is a key to the divorce....
so whats the issue? money? seven years itch? lost of love?Originally posted by Icemoon:why were they separated? care to share? then ask yourself whether the rich have this problem.
i am not from acs, but i do noe them, since acjc gusy are mostly acs guys anyway....Originally posted by Icemoon:We misunderstood each another.
I mean you haven't seen all, and neither do I. It could be those peeps in ACJC weren't exactly that rich (ok I'm stretching my argument, I know ) or those sucky/spoilt ones kenna filtered out of the moe schools after O/N levels.
That's why I asked whether you from ACS.
now i really hoped i do know some girls from church cos as what u said, some r really chio so is it a sorrow in disguise?Originally posted by laurence82:yah, why not

maybe this is part of God's plan. you go church bio chio bu .. get to know one .. she tells you the "good news". so nothing despicable in going church to look for chio bu .. hahaOriginally posted by Townlink 268:now i really hoped i do know some girls from church cos as what u said, some r really chio so is it a sorrow in disguise?
actually at this rate, any actions by the christians can be defended....Originally posted by Icemoon:maybe this is part of God's plan. you go church bio chio bu .. get to know one .. she tells you the "good news". so nothing despicable in going church to look for chio bu .. haha
if the person goes to church voluntarily on his own accord to look at girls, and in the process hears the "good news", then how can you question our moral system when the person initiating the whole thing is actually not the christian, but someone who comes to church for their own "lustful" desires...?Originally posted by laurence82:actually at this rate, any actions by the christians can be defended....
which also make me perplexed, so what are the values and moral system held by christians?
it seems that anything goes....
so whats ur point? in the west, more people are leaving the church to join buddhism, taoism and indian spiritualismOriginally posted by Townlink 268:now i really hoped i do know some girls from church cos as what u said, some r really chio so is it a sorrow in disguise?
and also, my say is, church-goers are increasing more than temple goers..
using lust to lure people to hear the good news? thats satanicOriginally posted by breytonhartge:if the person goes to church voluntarily on his own accord to look at girls, and in the process hears the "good news", then how can you question our moral system when the person initiating the whole thing is actually not the christian, but someone who comes to church for their own "lustful" desires...?
The person who goes there because of lust is saved by God because of Grace, I do not see anyting wrong with that.Originally posted by laurence82:using lust to lure people to hear the good news? thats satanic
well, proved my point in christianity anything goes, as long as it is for god
at this rate, you can tell me you can kill for god too....
I didnt say the church did. You implied god did. Afterall, why god allow girls who can attract guys lustfully in his church?Originally posted by breytonhartge:The person who goes there because of lust is saved by God because of Grace, I do not see anyting wrong with that.
BUT NOTE, the churches never lured anyone using lust, you said it. The non-believer who goes to church to look at girls is the one that has the lust, the church does not use that. Don't twist things.
no point talking to you laurence. You twist everything... I never implied God did. If you want to be so negative, and always see things from that point of view and blame God for everything... I cannot stop you. Like I said no point talking about this. Lets just leave it.Originally posted by laurence82:I didnt say the church did. You implied god did. You are the one that should stop twisting words.
girls who dress lustfully stay in church .. bo bian .. what you think God should do? Blow up the church one day? Let's not judge whether those gers receive salvation, shall we?Originally posted by laurence82:I didnt say the church did. You implied god did. Which is exactly why i question the exact moral and value system held by Christians.Originally posted by Icemoon:girls who dress lustfully stay in church .. bo bian .. what you think God should do? Blow up the church one day? Let's not judge whether those gers receive salvation, shall we?
Think of the robber who was first in paradise with Jesus. He received this privilege cos he commited a heinous crime that was serious enuff for crucification.Originally posted by laurence82:Which is exactly why i question the exact moral and value system held by Christians.
The picture I am getting is, as long as its done for god, anything goes. Lust being one of the seven sins, is allowed. Is that what you are saying?
Double sheesh, you can do anything and get away with it. Thats what Christianity is about?Originally posted by Icemoon:Think of the robber who was first in paradise with Jesus. He received this privilege cos he commited a heinous crime that was serious enuff for crucification.
so you say God should prevent the person from hearing the good news 'cos he went the "lust" way?Originally posted by laurence82:The picture I am getting is, as long as its done for god, anything goes. Lust being one of the seven sins, is allowed. Is that what you are saying?
The robber did not get away. He was crucified.Originally posted by laurence82:Double sheesh, you can do anything and get away with it. Thats what Christianity is about?
but then he was in paradise... not bad huh?Originally posted by Icemoon:The robber did not get away. He was crucified.
Does the end justify the means?Originally posted by Icemoon:so you say God should prevent the person from hearing the good news 'cos he went the "lust" way?
Anything is allowed 'cos it is ultimately the person who chose it. Free will mah.
