  Mary was blessed with the opportunity to be the mother of Jesus. That's about it you know.

  We do not worship Mary. We honour her. Just like how the early Protestants and all the other denominations have been doing in all the centuries.

  Protestants honour Mary as well. We acknowledge her humility to accept the offer from God to be a vessel for Jesus. We acknowledge her suffering to see her son Jesus on the cross.
  
  but, the way Protestants honour Mary is very different from the way Roman Catholics "honour" Mary.
