As much as I do not go other religious forums and bash up pple's faith, I can't stand pple coming into EH and bash up the Christian faith. I have enough of pple rambling on about the crusades/inquisitions with questionable intentions. Why pple never see Jesus' work on the cross instead? Are pple really blind to what they believe?
If one really want to point out mistakes in the faith, the basic courtesy is to be polite. Find common ground, then have something to discuss. Not go into forums and simply say: I think Christianity sux on the whole becoz Christians are blah blah blah. This is generalization and getting personal. If u have bones to grind with the Christians who ask u to go hell, go find them instead, dun bash the innocent ones here.
If I am still a non-believer, I would probably even be more skeptical than SIS/ Heng@. Like them, I always stock up 'firepower' for my attack on Christians should i feel that they want to convert me. The weapons some pple have used here, I have used b4. So don't use it again, becoz I know.
And like what Heng@ says, all men are screwed. My life was once screwed. Being Christians does not guarantee us to be better persons, but it does not mean as a minority we can be picked and bashed if u are not happy. Sure, the pope condemns homosexuality, but how abt the Inmans, the Mullahs and the Rabbis? Why don't pple condemn them also? And homosexuality itself is a issue between society/gays, why particularly pick on the church? I am not a defender of Catholics, but if anyone has skeletons to hide, it will be the ones who always dwell on conspiracy theories. I dare Dan Brown and others to write something abt the other two monothestic faith as well, and see whether they will follow Salmen Rushdie's footsteps. Is it becoz Christians are too 'loving' and too kind to resist that pple pick on them? -

mc sq had also told me b4 to take it as just forum and nothing personal, as nothing edifying can be found here. True. However, my way of defending my faith is as much as u stand firm to your beliefs that Christianity is wrong.
