Are Christians too liberal that we usually got bashed?

As above. In my opinion, we are too divided and liberal that we usually got bashed for certain issues unfairly e.g. homosexual issues, birth-control, abortion etc . In Islam/Judaism, though also plagued by sectarianism, but their stand on such issues are firm and uncompromising. We only see gay priests and bishops in the news, and never a gay cleric or rabbi.
Should the church, like what the current pope says go back to the fundamentals, or shall we move with the times and continue to be liberal about such issues?

First of all.. the Christian church is not known to be liberal.
You might want to check the dictionary on the definition of liberal. -
my opinion is that christians are too conservative and unliberal. As well as being rather hypocrital. thats why they get bashed. don't deny people's reasons for bashing christians. its just more escapism. no point u ask someone why they do something and they tell u why, and then u say "no actually the reason I think why u do this is yada yada..." if u do, u might as not well ask.

Believe me, Buddhists are more liberal. They aren't known to go to war over differences. What goes on in Thailand and Sri Lanka is more of a national security issue. Christians and muslims, however, have undertaken "holy" wars.

we have come to such a modern age,it will be hard to go back to the fundamental strucutres.we should just carry on but not forget the fundamentals.

i believe thats slandering islam. Liberal? I believe the word you're looking for is fanatical. I'm ok with moderate Christians. They are nice people. The Christians that stain the name of Christianity are the ones who go aroudn declaring that the world goes to hell if they do not embrace Christ and they go around spreading atrocities of their own.
It's kinda like saying,"Hey accept Christ and you can live the life you want, be it rape or murder and you will still be saved. Doesn't matter what good you do now because as long as you don't accept Christ as your lord and savior, you're doomed in hell." -
Yes, Christians have been too caught up with being politically correct that they have drifted far from the Scriptures. Trying hard to please the world, they have become so worldly that they have become salt that has lost its taste.
Christians should stand up for what they believe in. The teachings of Christ will arouse anger and opposition from the world. The Greek word for the church is to be 'called out' from the masses. If our teachings and beliefs are so pleasing to the world, there is no need to call us out from the world.
I say stick to the teachings in the Scriptures. As for the issue that was mentioned, ie. homosexuality...there is no question in my mind. The Bible condemns it and so Christianity does not condone it. Christians in positions of influence and authority (and there are quite a number in our society) must unite against any attempt to introduce an alternative gospel or a liberal version of christianity. -

i too do not like being told that i am going to hell when i was a non-believer.
now that i am a believer, i am aware why some said tat....becoz without christ we can never escape eternal condemnation. -

N.Ireland is a far deeper issue u can imagine..dated back to Henry VIII's time...at least it is contain there....but look at the world around u now....police patrols everywhere...sheesh.... -

Some questions to ponder:
1) Is this a good/bad thing?
2) In keeping up with the times, are we compromising Christ's message too
much?
3) As Christians, are we making ourselves acceptable to the world instead to GOD?
4) Should we be as staunch as what the rest of pple are doing, since we get bashed the most?
5) Is the church a easy target for bashing, since we preach abt Christ's love more than punishment for sins? -
