I do my shopping on ebay... sorry. My wife said that Tecman is very expensive... there should be lots in Singapore... I am located in Australia at the moment(working as an architect and teaching at the uni), I come back to Singapore about 2-3 times a year, I find that ebay even with the shipping, costs less.Originally posted by laoda99:Hi thanks
I have been getting my books from Tecman (15 percent discount)
Do u know anywhere that is even cheaper?

my friend, it was never my intention to correct you and I accept what you say... if I can across as arrogant, I apologise, it was not my intention, how else would you have me say it? Just that for the Christian, that book really challenges us in our thinking... after all this is a thread about good christian books to recommend...Originally posted by M©+square:My friend, just a word of reminder.
My impression of you in that highlighted phrase, it really didn't gain my respect. Huge difference between ignorant and arrogant.
You may not mean what i've interpreted, but i'm sensitive whenever Christians thought their knowledge surpasses the non believers.
You may have thought you're in a right standing with God as this point of your life and your standard will follow you throughout your life. So be it, i have no right to correct you, however do remember that you are the ambassador of your Lord and you represent Him.
And you'll never know when you will fall short of your/his expectation.
Apprarently, you're not really a good follower of the Jesus in the gospel?
You may quote scriptures or display your christian characteristics to cushion my post. Or you may not even bother to reply at all.
I still will say what i feel.
I admit that we learn as we experience, trials and errors.
But there are some comments which are uncalled for.
Learn humilty and the essence of your relationship with God.
You may have a relationship, but you may not know what exactly matters in this relationship.
Lip services or carnal bibical knowledge, every christians can have.
Let the true message be revealed from the heart, the message that does not only brings knowledge of christ to man - It'll bring revival to this land.
p.s: I may be critical, i apologise if my message isn't clear. I hope your attitude will change.
at some stage i think most of us have.... just because we do not list them down does not mean we don't read them... Christianity in my opinion is about heart knowledge and not head knowledge...Originally posted by Icemoon:you all never read hardcore books like "systematic theology"?
to be fair, its his post in the other thread on kingdom of god that come down as how should i say subtly arrogantOriginally posted by M©+square:My friend, just a word of reminder.

But then the bible is all about faith... without faith it is impossible to please God. Let us leave this here as this thread is about Good Christian Books to Receommend...Originally posted by M©+square:Okie. I reckon you're into word-faith influence.
I was agitated by the other thread already.Originally posted by laurence82:to be fair, its his post in the other thread on kingdom of god that come down as how should i say subtly arrogant
his comments in this thread, that the books for christians will make sense, actually makes sense..
becos one of the first thing they have is faith in god, which we dont have
then having accept that, the books will relate stuff that covers their point of views
dont fret over this point.....
