So why should this issue stick so closely to the word?
As Christians, our guide for living on earth is the Bible. As you know, to us the bible is the word of God, at least we as Christians take it as such, and we do not doubt its authenticity or its accuracy(let us take this as a given when we Christians speak about the word ok?) According to the bible, it is wrong.
Leviticus 18:23-30 (amplified bible)
22You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination.(B)
23Neither shall you lie with any beast and defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman yield herself to a beast to lie with it; it is confusion, perversion, and degradedly carnal.
24Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for in all these things the nations are defiled which I am casting out before you.
25And the land is defiled; therefore I visit the iniquity of it upon it, and the land itself vomits out her inhabitants.

Aren't those verses from the OT and irrelevant today? Those are their cultural prejudices and customs mah

btw, the OT is still relevant...those things listed are not cultural prejudices, they are Gods veiw point on things... which does not change... if you read the NT, there are many verses quoted in the NT which are quoted by Jesus and the apostles from the OT.
In Luke 4:4
But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'"
The verse quoted by Jesus actually comes from Deuteronomy 8:3 which is OT...
In Matthew 21:16

In using the adultery example, I was expecting you answer " we dun commit adultery cos we love our spouse". Similarly God gave us commandments, laws if you will, on what's right and what's wrong. If you dun like the absolute flavour (right and wrong), then think of it as God telling us what is best for us.
And why do we follow the commandments? not 'cos we want to be under bondage, but cos we love God .. -

It is not that God does not love the homosexual, God will still accept the person with open arms, but not the sin because God the creator created everything for specific purposes, but He still loves His creation unconditionally.
Think about it this way the parts do not fit... the whole purpose of love making is for procreation. -
