They can type God, who say they can't? The reason why they left the word incomplete is 'cos they do not want others to take the Lord's name in vain. What is too holy for them is the tetragammatron. You think they treat an english word as taboo? It is just a mark of respect and protection (to prevent pple like SIS for desecrating His name) that's all.
But the tetragammatron is really holy and cannot be written or pronounced. Thats why Hashem is used, even in their songs. -
