Pastors must bring up God-fearing children, or else resign

  In certain churches, a pastor/priest must make the following vows:
  1. Vow of sexual Purity
  2. Vow of Obeidence
  3. Vow of Poverty
  
  today, the church had forgotten why the early church insists upon these vows. Another condition is that they must bring up God-fearing children of good character. Even St Paul said: : If you cannot look after your own children, how can you qualify to look after the church?
  
  Why is it some churches do not follow the bible in this area of pastoral leadership?????

  Why sexual purity? As long as don't do excess, no reason to abstain from it. God "created" sex for us. How dare anyone refuse something God has given us.
  
  vow of poverty .. churches like chc sure disagree one .. if u are poor, how u help the poor people? I think your 10% tithing not even people's 1% .. lol

  Priests don't even have biological children! Their congregations are their adopted children. That's why they are called 'Father'.

  Ironically they are in the same boat as homosexuals. Homos are also not supposed to have biological children. But both can have adopted children, like nuns running an orphanage.

  Christian teachings usually don't agree with things that are not natural. eg. cloning, test-tube babies, abortion etc. But test-tube babies is still allowed based on case to case only.
  
  Sex is for procreation. It is for a married couple to create and multiply. Therefore sex is allowed only within a marriage.
  
  In this case, Oral and anal has got nothing to do with procreation or creation.

  Since you quote the bible, may I ask where does it say that Poverty is a must for pastor or priest?
  
  And i interpret the vow of sexual purity to mean abstinance from sex? If u r referring to sex outside marriage, I agree. But no where in the bible does it say that a pastor or priest cannot get married. In fact, sex goes beyond procreation - it is to be enjoyed by husband and wife in the marriage union.
  
  In any case, the bible never said anything about pastors/priests making vows.

  Marriage should not be seen as a burden to your religious life.

  Priestly celibacy is rather a matter of discipline. But it's there for a good reason.
  
  The life of a priest is not easy. He has little sleep, and plenty of work to do. He has to standby for sick calls, to administer the last rites to the dying. Besides, he recieves only a small allowance.
  
  Imagine all that plus the wife and kids?
