Where are the baptists? They are one of the largest in the States.

Maybe Baptist doesn't have a large population in the whole world?? I know Lutheran for sure is no. 1 among the Protestant, cuz the whole Scandinavia (including big countries like Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway) and part of Germany are Lutheran. Methodist and Anglican were second or third.
But , I also read from somewhere that Baptist has the highest population in USA. -

Ok, it says " In the late 1990s, there were about 43 million Baptists worldwide with about 33 million in the United States."
So Honey is right. Baptist population is not very big.

The university that I got my degree from belongs to the Baptist. The land of the campus was given to the Baptist Church by the native (ie. Red Indians) in 1800s to set up the college, with the condition that the Baptist give the Red Indians free education in that university. To date, the Baptist still honour the promise and Red Indians can go there for free university studies. Cool huh? -

a better comparisons will be in the areas of doctrines and teachings.
all the other comparisons r on the surface, external appearances and styles..which doesnt really matter
but what is happening inside...thst really matters. -
