Christian Politicians

Was watching the parliamentary sitting last night and noticed a "Warren Lee" MP for ? who introduced himself as a Christian MP. He then went on to voice his concerns re: casino. I was quite impressed as in Oz you hardly hear of any politician saying that they are Christian publicly.
Do you know of any other Christian politicians in the S'pore gov'nt? -

no double standard lah.... Odysseus is from Australia and very likely he does not see politicians in any other religion other than Christians (or Catholics). Being in Singapore, we are able to witness a diversified number of politicians who expresses their personal philosophy.
We are use to it, foreigners coming over for leisure and work may not be. -
David Lim left the ministry because of his Christian faith.

please don't turn this into another RCs vs Protestants debate again.
note that while some Christians (including RCs) argued against the issue of casinos, some of such arguments are based on personal conviction and others may be a sense of duty to their churches.
and when some Christians do not argue against casino, it does not mean that they are pro-gambling. It may mean that such Christians have another take to the issue and may view "casino" as only ONE factor in the entire process.
I am not pro-gambling, never gambled, never will. I enjoyed Vegas for all the lights and the buffets, walked through all the one-arm bandit and the blackjack tables, I still do not gamble. I will also NOT voice against the issue of building the Casino(s). To me an addiction and control is a personal issue. No amount of government legislation is going to help the individual in this. Of course, herein, one argument is that NOW the government may be facilitating an environment to "increase the chances" of "social disorder". This at best is only an assumption. Those who gamble big time, will continue to gamble big time, the others may place small bets once in a while. Still it is a matter of personal accounting to oneself and one's family.
Would and should a teetotaller start a website that petitions the closure of pubs and bars?
I, and my family, will be looking forward to the theme parks and restaurants that will sprout in such resorts. Would anyone wish to accuse me of being hedonistic and indulge in glutonny? -

If in S'pore one can proclaim their faith (whether it be christian {btw: christian to me is both protestant & RC}, buddhist, muslim, hindu or whatever) without fear of discrimination, ridicule or repercussion that to me marks a mature, tolerant, open society.
