Let us be charitable in our posts and not condemn others readily.
As Christians, while we must defend the truth, we must also let others have their say.
Although we may be offended by others, we must hold our tongues and not use vulgarities and other unchristian language.

the way u put it, as if the whole world is attacking christians and christianity
i also sometimes wish, that christians dont simply say, these are attacks on our faith, as long as we hold on, we will be saved and all that
there is a lot of room for self examinations, and to deny certain insensitive actions committed by some christians, is turning blind eyes to ones wrong...
its not much to see why people see this and choose to flame christians isnt it? -

It's true that we are often attacked, no? Can anybody deny this?
But not all of us are setting the best examples, and because of this we have caused scandal to our faith. -
actually a lot of people misundertood me, they tot i took an anti christ view, but in fact i took an anti christians views, which is hell a lot of diff...
used to be neutral and dont understand why people like to attack christians, in fact my frens who are christians are way better in character
its till i see some ugly manifestation of certain blacks sheeps in this forums , that i no longer pity the christians..in fact right up till today, i still see ugly christians behaving like as they are god themselves...
they bring the whole faith down
while we condemn islamic terrorists, its time for christians themselves to fight against these black sheeps
u can also put it as, give these so called anti christ people no reason to flame christianity... -

So far I don't see anything wrong with the Christians in this forum. In fact, I do see another faith not being religiously tolerent and gets very sensitive when his/her faith was mentioned. I literally got this response : "What has it (the topic) got to do with ****** (the person's belief)?" I was merely using it as an example and nothing negative.
While anti-Christians unreservedly criticized Christian's faith, just take a look at how many Christians actually take part in the arguments. What is the ratio? I can safely conclude that most of them are quite forgiving. Just take a look at this forum. We don't see the moderators deleting I-THINK-I-am-smarter-than-Christians messages even though the messages make no sense at all and the moderators are given the rights to delete or edit the message.
Regardless of how smart some people think they are, they fail to understand a simple thing that I reckon even my Pri sch nephew could comprehend fully : This is a Christian forum. It is called Eternal Hope. Every sub forum created has its purpose. Eg. House of Fengshui is for Buddhist, Taoist, people to talk about fortune telling & fengshui.
Likewise, Eternal Hope is meant for those in the Christians faith to share with and inspire one another. You don't see any of us going HOFS to say "Hey, Christians don't believe in such things".
This is not a forum for people to be smart. Too bad, for the one who IS STILL TRYING to look smarter than the 2000 year old church. No wonder he is used to insults (he said one ah, not I said). Well, we all can see why he receives so many insults (inside and outside forum) on a daily basis until he is used to insults. Well, other than the big hearted ones in Eternal Hope forum, who in the right frame of mind, don't want to insult him. -

Why would u need to crash into HOFS when u can use ur own forum to make derogatory remarks on other people?
I see the same reasoning "Why people crash in here, we dont see xtians crash in elsewhere?" yada yada
obviously, certain people are blind or refuse to see the damage have been done most in this forums, and also in LOA, HOFS and Chit Chat, with one time in Buddhism World.
and goodness, after the fiasco whole of last year, some oldbie xtian can still make this sort of statement..ROFLMAO.....
Worse, i mentioned this many times, seems no one pick up on this.
There are many xtians who feel it so right to make any statement they like, coz they are so blinded by faith and feel its all right to make such remarks. First and foremost, if u said u live by god laws, u are a liar. U are living by the secular laws of this land, and more often than not, u abide by the laws of the land than the laws in the bibles
second, u are living in sg, a multiracial multireligious society. i dont still dont understand why people grew up so shielded from the rest of the nation...and do not realise the real world they living in
until and unless these god-acting nuts disappear, u wont see peace, i can assure u,
u can continue to 'feel victimised', but then again, i'll say u are one sad case.... -

evangelism exist in christianity on a level uncomparable with other faiths.
there are definitely few black sheeps, and more often than not too few a good shepherd.
when they reach an unbearable level, they become very antagonistic, especially on two fronts, discussing their own faith, and insensitive to other faiths...
and if anyone expect the other side to keep quiet and faithfully accept the christian faith, wait for the cows to come home....
there is also one "good" thing about internet forums, without real laws to hold them in, the supposedly well behaving christians or people of other faith offline manifest themselves into ugly creatures on the webspace...
and this forum itself has many of them.....

i didnt noe...anyway, one of the christian forumers himself send a PM to forum founder, asking him to set regulations to tone down what i see as guerilla tactics on deriding and chiding other faiths by xtians

usually, however differring my views are, i can talk on faiths amicably with adult males, but definitely not kids, definitely not foolish woman....

I don't see that as personal attacks. I just wish to address issues. You bring up so many points, but you can't support them with anything. You only claim that it's too late blah blah blah. But I've been reading all these while. I don't see anything. Maybe you can see something that i don't. I don't claim to be smarter than anyone anyway. I don't mean to argue. And I don't intend to win in any arguments. In every discussion there is an objective. My purpose is to support Singaporemacros in this topic. cuz if he doesn't start this thread, I will as I see every reason to do so.
If you can't support your argument with anything substantial, then calling me a foolish woman might be a clever way of getting out of it. Not personal attack. Just mere observation of ppl losing in debates and quarrels.
