But if you don't know how to start, you can try starting with, "Dear Lord, I pray that (Insert request), Amen."
As for grace before and after meals, you can try this.
Before:
Bless us, O Lord,
and these your gifts,
which we are about to receive
from your bounty,Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
After:
Bless us, O Lord,
and these your gifts,
which we have received
from your bounty,Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Feel free to come up with your own offering to God. As for why we invoke the name of Jesus, this is because the name of Jesus is most powerful. Ask and you shall recieve. Seek and you shall find.
